Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but and possibility of some rain, very localised showers yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a choice of HM shepherds pie or LO roast pork, veg and gravy - some LO's of the shepherds pie for tonight's dinner, but LO roast pork all eaten.
Keep safe and well x

Damp and dreary this morning, shame as yesterday was quite nice.
Called at the allotment yesterday after work to pick the courgettes, I've pickled some with a different recipe so we'll see how that goes.
I don't think I moved from my office all day I was so busy, lovely to see all the children in their shiny new uniforms and the new Primary 1s are all so cute (although a few with some behavioural issues).
Stopped to see DD and the little one, little one is quite poorly with a heavy cold, seems to be the same as DD had last week. She managed a smile though.
Hope you're all well and have a good day. Take care. XX
After my day off skiving yesterday I need to at least clean the kitchen and bathroom this morning to ease the burden of the Friday Tidy! I didn't find a dolly trolley of any description yesterday so I think I may need to scour a few websites. But I would prefer to look at them in person. I might give it one more shot elsewhere on Saturday. I got the few bits and pieces I needed yesterday thanks to Home B and Wilko (I wish we had a local Wilko, I like a roam around in there)
It's getting exciting GERS, not long to go now! My friends in Oz (sisters) have kept inviting me over the years but I couldn't cope with the long flight. One lives just north of the city (Brisbane) and the other just south.
It's results day for eldest DGD today. It's fingers crossed she gets what she needs for uni but it's probably a good job she hasn't applied for Oxford or Cambridge! I hope COXY's DS gets the results he needs too.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. I hope DM is improving NELS. Take care all and stay safe xx
I didn't manage to get on or even read yesterday's thread. This project I'm on is a bit intense and I was in the office again. Needed a takeaway coffee to get me going yesterday plus bought fruit salad on the way in, so £6.55 spent before I'd even got to work! How I ever commuted 5 days a week is beyond me. Anyway due to the train and underground strikes I'm WFH today and tomorrow so have a bit of respite. We have almost finished painting the hallway wood, last bits to do tonight and then we can move onto the next stage of painting ceilings - deep joy.
Sorry to hear about Sallylab @mehefin, heartbreaking when they go, but glad it was peaceful xx
Hope @Nelski's DMum is comfortable xx
Yes @TravellingAbuela a big day for our teens. DS2 is still in bed but expect him to be up very soon to check his school email address for the results. I have no idea what to expect but hope he will be okay. Good luck to your DGD xx
So excited for your trip @Gers - I too would love to visit Oz but expect we'll need to be retired first!
I need to pop out for some fresh fruit and veg at lunchtime. We are having sweet chilli chicken thighs, rice and veg for dinner - yum.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy
Good morning and happy Thursday to everyone, sending love, hugs and supporting vibes to everyone.
I downloaded the Martin Lewis app yesterday, so thought I’d say Hello.
Have a wonderful day xx
Its a bit dull here this morning but meant to brighten up later on, I am starting with my private client today 11 - 3.30, I shall take him for a walk on the beach and get some chips and an ice cream for him and then maybe come home and make a cake, he is such a lovely man, he has downs and is deaf and non verbal but we get by with my limited makaton signs, I am very much looking forward to it and it doesnt feel like working !
Good meeting yesterday and I am ready to go starting next Tuesday with three clients, tomorrow I need to sit and work out my week and what activities we are going to do each day. It feels so much more relaxed than being at work, no more spending hours cleaning, and more time actually working with the clients which I love !
Filled pasta for dinner tonight with salad and garlic bread, nice quick dinner. Washing mountain was finished yesterday so just need to put mine away.
Good luck for those getting exam results today xxx
Have good days all xxx
Well finally overnight they moved mum to a ward last night. Its an assessment unit so in in theory she's only to be there for 48hrs but a bed is a bed and it has to be quieter than the a+e. Still treating her for infection and she has low oxygen so needs some help there. Sooner she can get back to the home the better so lets hope they can sort her out.
No real plans today in case I need to visit. They banned visitors in the a+e so not seen her yet. Poor love must be so lonely.
I have the tiniest possible delivery coming this morning with the basics for the week. Gone are the days of just randomly chucking what I fancy in quite depressing really but l at least have good stocks to fall back on. Strange combinations will feature.
Hope you all have a good day and thank you again for all your kind thoughts for mum
Had a nice text from my youngest grandson Mikey, he got his confirmed place at Essex Uni this morning as his A level results were good so I'm a happy Grandma this morning
Thats the last of my DDs four lads to go. Her eldest boy got his QTS certificate this week as well, so she now has two qualified teachers and our Henry who graduated in June is still deciding what he wants to do with his degree.
He's got a part ime job working with a pal digging holes on a building site
NSDs for me for a week or two as I am all shoped out .My upstairs bookcase is full of tinned and dried goods for the coming winter and I'm running out of space
So today its going to be a bit of a pottering day doing small odd jobs on my to-do list, interspersed with several cups of tea
Have a good day chums what ever you are doing
JackieO xx
