Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but and possibility of some rain, very localised showers yesterday but looks more likely for rain this afternoon into this evening.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and beans. Not sure about tonight.
Keep safe and well x

Lighter cloud this morning, it stayed dry most of yesterday but rained from about 7pm. Hoping for a dry morning at least so the children can settle in to school. I'm expecting a really busy day - at least it will be quick!
Went for a swim at the pool last night, first time for a while and really enjoyed it, must get into the habit of going more often.
So sorry you lost your beloved Sallylab Mehefin. Hope your injuries continue to heal.
Hoping your DM is settled in hospital and recovers quickly Nelski.
Good to hear from you JackieO.
Glad you had a good time Ruby - on to the next chapter for you!
Have a good day, take care. XX
Change of plan yesterday I decided to tackle some jobs instead of my bus ride. After days of heat induced slothfulness I got off my arris and finally cleaned all the downstairs windows inside, emptied the washing basket, did a load of batch cooking (now frozen in portions) and made a big pot of lentil soup to accompany my lunchtime sarnies. The bus ride is now planned for today instead! I am hoping to spot a nice dolly trolley as, daft as it may sound, carrying heavy bags makes my legs more painful. I just don't want to end up with one so heavy that I can't lift it on the bus!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. I hope DM is settled and improving NELS. Take care one and all and be safe xx
A brighter morning here though it feels a lot cooler. Had a lovely afternoon with little one yesterday - she really is lovely company. She was calling me 'Granny my love my darling' - hopefully it's just my 'indoor name!'
I'm going off on a little trip today - first to Newcastle for an appointment at the dental lab, should be my last one, then the train to Morpeth where I'm going to see the memorial to Emily Wilding Davison. I've intended going for years so decided I'd waited long enough. It's a small town I haven't been too for a very long time so I'll have a nice wander too and a look in the charity shops. Then train home at 4.30.
Well done with all your jobs TA - I really need to sort my kitchen cupboards.
Gers - how long is it till you go away?
Camelot - hope you have a good day with the children back in school
Well better get moving - hope everyone has a good day x

I leave here on Sunday, an overnight in Glasgow and then leave on Monday. Just as I was about to bring my suitcase down I realised that I hadn't packed pyjamas - doh! So, I've stripped the bed and got the linen in the washing machine and will go back up to sort out the missing items. Perhaps I need a list.
Gers I am so jealous its one place we haven't been but seen some fantastic 3-4 week cruises for Australia ,NZ and beyond DH and I will probably try to do this when he retires in 3 years
Nels Hoping that you are ok and mum has had a reasonable night on a ward
DP1 that is adorable enjoy your day trip
Right better get on have a wonderful day whatever you are up to stay dry and stay safe x
Dull here but no rain atm some due later I think. I am working my way through washing mountain, I think four loads done yesterday and another two or three to do today and we try and travel lightly ! I had to resort to the TD yesterday as it rained most of the day.
I emailed old work twice while I was away asking about my leave date and had no reply, so I text my boss yesterday and nothing ! So I decided I would not go in today or tomorrow as they owe me time, I had a reply to my email this morning from my boss saying 'yes fine' and that was it, no thanks for your service or hard work, so rude ! I am glad to be out of there !
I have a meeting today with new job to finalise things, and then later on I am going to have my nails re done, I can have them painted now as im not working in a kitchen, I just need to decide which colour !
Baked sweet potato for dinner tonight, with ham and salad, I can pop them in the oven before going to get my nails done so they will be done when I get home.
Mehefin I am so sorry to hear about Sallylab its so heartbreaking when the go, hopefully she went peacefully in her sleep xxxx What happened to your leg ? I must have missed that x
Nels I hope they got mum a bed and she is more settled now xxx
Have good days all xxx
The horses were so funny this morning. Fairy and Showman went zooming around the field, and Scoobymare just looked bemused and carried on grazing. Some of the sting is out of the ground so suspect they were just enjoying it.
Ruby: Sallylab passed peacefully whilst we were doing the horses on Monday morning. The place is so quiet, and we miss the scrounging which Labradors are famous for!
We had an accident with Showman when we put him in the carriage , and although he had been driven before, something spooked him and he bolted, bucking and kicking out. I got a deflected kick on my lower thigh which looks as if it may have torn the muscle. Lots of grazes and bruising too. It was a scary experience and the carriage is looking pretty beat up too, but as I said on another post it could have been MUCH worse. Just got to rebuild the trust with the boy, and repair me and the carriage !!
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
