Power key + volume up should get you to reboot screen.  Assuming its charged.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

If a reset isn't working, buy a new/used sim-free unlocked handset locally wherever you are in the world - transfer your sim card - and then when you're back home, if it's under warranty get it sorted out, and if it's not stick with your newly bought phone.

Then even under warranty you're unlikely to get anywhere unless the phone specifically is advertised as being waterproof to cover such a scenario. Likely best going and buying a new handset to get yourself back up and running until you're back in the uk. You can take a risk and find a local phone shop to see if they can repair it  - but unlikely it could be done on the spot unless it's a popular phone that they've got a stock of spares for.

'Only my number…' so you are with other people whose phones are working? Swap your sim into a different phone.

I have heard that sims are going to be phased out and replaced with virtual electronic ones? Not so good in this use case.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Is this the same phone that had a screen problem in February? If it is it might be time to let it go. Just put the sim in another phone.

Similar happened to me a few years ago.

Hence I always carry a small basic spare phone in my luggage !
