Universal Credit and Council Tax Benefit

I have just run my son's and his partner's details through Turntous and it seems that they would be entitled to £38 UC and £12 Council Tax Benefit, quite a decent amount of money.
How would this be affected if my son did extra hours, which he does sometimes?

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

UC is based on earnings received during your monthly assessment period. If he did extra hours then that would mean less UC and with a small amount of entitlement it may reduce his UC to zero.Council tax reduction is not part of UC and all local Authorities have their own rules so i can't advise on that.1
