Dropped jar of chili oil on oak parquet floor

Good morning. I am looking for some advice.
I dropped a small jar of chilli oil on my oak wood parquet floor last night. I wiped it up immediately with kitchen towel. Then cleaned the residue up with spray kitchen detergent and more kitchen towel. However the oil has sunk into the edges of the parquet and I now have oil feathering around the edges of some pieces.
I have since wiped the floor with some diluted dishwasher powder and poured baking powder over it. The oil feathering is still there. Will it eventually disappear. The floor was sealed with Bona hd traffic
I can’t ignore it as it’s in the middle of the room. 😭
Does anyone have any advice as to next steps? Will it fade with time?
I read somewhere that if you wash with detergent and then dry using a cold flow hairdryer it will bring the oil to the surface where it can be cleaned. Anyone tried this?

I think it may take some time to shift. I would cover in talc for a few days, agitate frequently and see what happens. Detergent may work on the remainder but its worth attempting to draw out the bulk of the fat to start with.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Thanks Rosa. I’ll give it a go. I’ll just need to keep the dog away from it. 😬Rosa_Damascena said:I think it may take some time to shift.
