Ok affordability done
valuation done

they asked for latest bank statement sent that Monday , any idea on how long the last bit takes, we’ve been told once they review bank statement offer should be issued , on a time frame now as our sellers mortgage due to expire for their purchase

How is the rest of the process coming along? It's very rare that the mortgage offer is the last thing that needs doing.

@strong8096 Compared to most other mainstream lenders currently, Halifax is very quick to turnaround additional documentation, no more than 2-3 working days. If they've asked for a bank statement now, it's probably with an underwriter but should still only take a similar amount of time.

I don't know exact timescales, but when I needed a new mortgage offer last year my broker specifically recommended Halifax for being quick. Think it took a couple of weeks start to finish.

Halifax are the quickest, if you look at the mortgages and endowments pages on here there are lots of posts about them. If everything is done and the valuation is what you are paying it should only be a day or two.

    Is everything else done then?
