How is the rest of the process coming along? It's very rare that the mortgage offer is the last thing that needs doing.

Thought the mortgage offer was final but that goes out to solicitor0

@strong8096 Compared to most other mainstream lenders currently, Halifax is very quick to turnaround additional documentation, no more than 2-3 working days. If they've asked for a bank statement now, it's probably with an underwriter but should still only take a similar amount of time.strong8096 said:Ok affordability done

I don't know exact timescales, but when I needed a new mortgage offer last year my broker specifically recommended Halifax for being quick. Think it took a couple of weeks start to finish.

Halifax are the quickest, if you look at the mortgages and endowments pages on here there are lots of posts about them. If everything is done and the valuation is what you are paying it should only be a day or two.
Is everything else done then?1 -
Thanks all hopefully good news will come today0
