Hello,

Would really like any advice or previous experience please.
I've been on a DMP with Stepchange for quite some time now (many years) but suddenly one of my creditors (Link finance) are asking me in a letter/form to fill out a separate statement of details of my finances - should I do that or ignore it please?

Many thanks for any advice or experience with this kind of demand

Pass it to stepchange

Or ignore it, some companies policies are to update financial information from clients on a regular or ad hoc basis, you do as you please really.

Thanks for the answers both - just to add they did add a little 'suggestive' wording in their letter about needing to assess my finances due to an agreed period ending (I know nothing about that as my DMP has never altered much after several years and still has a few years left planned).
It all sounded a little threatening, though I may be reading too much into it and they may just be doing ad hoc updates as you suggest.

One thing I know for sure is that I don't want to go through separate financial reports, aside from my already agreed one with Stepchange.

Then just send them an email, referring to what they have sent you, and say "Nothing has changed".
