Well...I say 'good' but it's actually a very grey and wet morning here. The heatwave has skirted round the west coast of Scotland again.Yesterday I dealt with one cupboard which is normally behind a sofa. Some stuff has gone to the tip, some into a bag for a CS leaving a few bits and pieces for further consideration. 😀 Also found a newish pair of Hotter shoes which I then wore all the rest of the day, they may go into the CS bag yet though I was really pleased to see them again.Adding to the happy mood I've arranged to visit some good friends in Newcastle for a few days in early August.Today is a mystery so far, the miserable weather dictates no meaningful outdoors activities. I could follow DP1's lead and do some light dusting and run the vacuum around, we'll see. My suitcase will be brought out of the small barn and taken upstairs which will be a feat, one step at a time with a walking stick too. My stairs are very steep, I almost need crampons and a rope to get up them on a bad hip day.My thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Friday to all.11

Morning Gers and all to follow
Another hot day ahead and unfortunatly I am off to workwe are so short staffed that I offered to go in, I shall come home just after 3 when the clients have gone home so a bit of an earlier finish.
We are treating ourselves to fish and chips tonight, I will try and eat mainly the fish with a few chips, we will get mum some too as she loves fish and chips.
Meeting went really well last night a lovely young lady who loved the dogs and we got on really well, I am nearly back on track and hopefully once funding is confirmed for someone next week then we are all systems go (again! )
Covid seems to be rearing its head again quite a few at work have it many for the second time, I need to try and stay clear now for my holiday so am keeping my distance as much a I can.
Have good days all and stay safe in the heat xxx10 -
Morning All
Day off but up early DH and I are booked in for medicals I have cover with work and want to see bad/ good we both are before I leave
I am worried about DH snoring / breathing at night my late Ddad had sleep apnea and always said he thought DH did as well
I now resort to earplugs every night !!
Warm and sunny here already I really want to get started with some bits and bobs around the house
Was thinking of doing a boot fair this weekend but temps of mid 30s have stalled that idea
My Dsil retires today not too sure how she is feeling about it but I'm sure she will get used to the idea
Have a good day all hugs to those that need/ want them

Morning All
Wet and dreary this morning, so glad I cut the grass last night. I also cut the pear tree, followed the instructions to prune properly and cut off the only pear that was growing! Oh well, there's always next year.
The decorating is coming on, all the woodwork is done and one wall in a lovely peacock blue (goes with the curtains), the rest will be a pale duck egg as it is at the moment so just one coat should do to freshen it up. The ceiling (I know I should have done that first) will be a challenge and will involve getting the step ladder in from the shed but it should all be finished today. I'll need to look for a quilt cover but that can wait.
Went shopping with DD and the little one, bought new socks for me and the DGC along with lots of veggie seeds for next year as they were all half price in Wilko's.
I'll get my bed stripped later, it can go out this afternoon when the sun shines (hopefully) and really must show the living room the duster and hoover, it's been somewhat neglected.
Have a happy Friday, take care. XX10 -
Morning..Sunny but still quite cool in the shade. I had a revelation the other day. I have the one boob, getting things to wear for that is very difficult, I can't wear a normal bra because the scar cuts straight across where the bra would sit. I've been trying various sports type tops but they all list to one side. I saw somethng and thought boob tape! So I tried it, and it works perfectly. I know I sound like an infomercial, but honestly, complete game changer, no more sore neck on one side, no kore constantly readjusting underwear...Now I just need to find someone to make me a one boob top
And I also sorted out the clothes, put them away, to the CS or to the sewing transformation pile...Today, I think move the last stones if it's not too hot, and organise my sewing stuff, motly unpicking seams or cutting out for the transformation pile
Gers, enjoy your Magical Mystery Day! Treat yourself halfway through for definite! Ruby, good to hear things are getting back on track for your final goodbyes to the place you work now. NRA, in a few months she'll probably be wondering how she found time for work. camelot, commiserations for your pear. I have one solitary fig which is not ripening at all. Nels, good to know you've got some back up, how lovely of her to help. snoozer, welcome back to the hellmouth of heatRosy, bless him, and happy new toy! Take care all....

Morning all bright and sunny with a breeze think its lulling us into a false sense of security for Sunday to Tuesday. Dog has been walked and fed I have a few deliveries due today but other than that the day is my own
Ruby Pleased to hear things are back on track
NRA hope the medicals go ok I am another who worries about DH he is a diabetic on tablets but eats as though his tablets will cancel all the bad stuff like jam on fruit loaf and huge bits of fresh bread he won't be told and gets cross if he has to have more medication DD2 has told him only one more tablet and then it will be insulin anyway i despair but he has been called in after his latest blood test so we will see what transpires
Gers DD2 wears hotter shoes she says that they are so comfortable although she says when she goes to buy them she is always the youngest in the shop at 26

Morning all, dare I say it..... we still have the sun ! Sorry to those who haven't, I am fanning it furiously your way honest. Yesterday I mowed all the lawns then got some weed suppressant fabric down on one side of the front garden. Mr Fix It tried to help but he's having problems with his back so he went into supervisor mode 🙄 Honestly I could have done it quicker on my own but to be fair he did take the curtains down, right the mistake and rehang them, so I think I'll hold on to him until a better offer comes along 😁
Today he is waiting for his oncology review, we're never looking forward to that but at least is over the phone and a morning appointment. Meanwhile I shall try to keep myself busy so I have already put a smoked gammon joint in the slow cooker, might have that with salad for tea tonight. I also have a mixed load of clothes and towels in the wm and I have already stripped the bed so the bedding will go in next.
Later I'm going to wash the duvet in the bath and do the grape dance on it, then let it soak overnight, I shall put our lightweight one on the bed when I re-make it. The bedroom needs dusting and hoovering and then, if I have the time and energy, I shall take on taff's gravel baton and start laying the gravel on the front garden. There's a huge saved bag ready to put down and my fingers are crossed that I'll have enough to cover it.
Have a good Friday all, hope you can enjoy your day whatever you are up to.
Take care all, stay safe and keep well.

Back from hospital having had some radiotherapy to hopefully improve things and dry up an ulcerated area.
They are so kind at the hospital, can’t fault them.
Tomorrow afternoon a friend is coming round for a Pimms afternoon.6
