Good morning all, it's a cooler start here today, must admit it's a bit of a relief.

Going away today till the end of next week

Morning folks - thanks for starting us off Scarlet. I hope you have a lovely time   

Another damp and grey start to the day. Yesterday was decidedly cool and a bit drizzly. My long drive down the peninsula was enjoyable enough and my haircut felt good. The place I go to is very zen, peaceful and calm, it's a tiny and immaculate inside. I drove back the even longer way to have lunch at a wee garden centre-!!!!!!-cafe where I had their cheese and leek tart with salad, very yummy. 

Today I'm already eyeing up the cupboard under the stairs which is normally hidden behind one sofa. It needs clearing out as it's only storing what must be unwanted things as I can't remember what's in it. There's another cupboard behind the other sofa which will be tackled too. 

I hope that everyone is doing well.  Happy Thursday to all.

Another lovely day in the offing although yesterday was just about unbearable at work, in the end the clients went and sat and watched a film in the coolest room which was better for them and it meant at least I could take my mask off which was so much better, today is meant to get up to 28 deg and Monday they are saying possible 40 deg  thats far too hot even for a sun lover !

Off to work today and a second meeting tonight with the young lady from last  week, I will have a quick tidy round this morning so that we are presentable.

Not sure about dinner tonight something with salad I think, will look in the freezer after this.

I am topping the birds water up every day atm, they are getting through such a lot of it, I also have some water at ground level for the hedgehogs who visit.

Morning folks a flying visit from my summer residence (well ok then static caravan!) No wifi so fumbling on phone with sausage fingers. 

Not doing much other than enjoying the sunshine and much reading. All very peaceful as usual and I have our little section all to myself. That may change at the w/e.

The heat is getting too much for me so will work with my trusty tower fan next to me today. It would have been Ddad 84th birthday today hard to believe its almost 4 months since he passed

Hope everyone is somehow managing to stay cool I have struggled past few nights

I am now on countdown to finishing work and then my other job begins operation prepare house for sale 
I'm going to allow myself a couple of days off to try to get used to the idea 
Initially it will feel like I'm on leave but with no calls to ask could you just log in to do this 

I'm letting DH enjoy his golf for now he won't know what's hit him when I get into full house sorting mode 😆😄

Morning everyone Scarlet enjoy your holiday cooler here today but meant to get out later had a walk to brass in the park last night after work a good turn out and really enjoyable plenty of families had taken a picnic and there was a couple of food vans wish I had taken a cardigan as breeze was cooler later but enjoyed a good couple of hours had a good natter to people I haven’t seen for ages it was nice to catch up with so many people but when I think about it I haven’t been anywhere for 3 years so I have put my foot down with my hubby and told him next year we are going away and if he doesn’t want to go I am going myself so he had better get his thinking head on off to work in a minute back in at 5 looks like I am in Saturday boss has tried to ring lazy bones but she wouldn’t answer so he sent her a text to say he is away for a couple of days over the weekend would she come in and do nothing just serve any customers that come in to pick up and drop off she text him back to say her phone was on charge and she didn’t think she would be up to it she will be back the week after probably to put some holidays in it beggars belief what she gets away with.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning All

Overcast and a bit drizzly  this morning but meant to brighten up later. Yesterday was ok but we just got back from the park in time, the heavens opened for 10 minutes then it was lovely and sunny. Towel wash all dried outside.

The wardrobe doors are all finished, I put the handles and catches back on last night. The windowsill and door has been done, just having a break before I tackle the skirting boards - wasn't going to do them but I may as well seeing as the paint is out.

Must visit the allotment today, there will be more courgettes! I'll do some shopping on the way back,  the fridge is looking  a bit bare.

Morning. Considering it was cool enough to be comfortable last night, sleep was elusive in coming and elusive in staying but I beat it into submission and wrung another hour out of it before cramp stopped play. OH is better at this game than me, he is still singing the song of his people...I spent a few hours sorting out the back bedroom and made a start on the clothes, the winter stuff is now in a laundry bag, the summer stuff has to be gone through. There is also a bag fo clothes I can't wear yet, or will not get rid of [ my mothers old handmade sparkly skirt, my fathers padded work shirt] but I really have to go through all that again. I've also found a couple of things that will be repurposed into something else and all my Kaffe Fassett fat quarters to add to a seriously eye watering jacket or top.

Scarlet, enjoy your trip! Gers, the GCs do do a nice line in something treaty. I sometimes think about the huge f/c scone in the local posh Dobbies...TA, you just enjoy yourself NRA, take it steady..Izzy, sending happy thoughts...and not so happy thoughts to the bossy nurse. You should have said, yes,I'll go swimming, pick me up on your way... Nels, hope yesterday went smoothly..Nanny, I present some new untouched eggs for you to do with as you will... Right, cold cup of tea time and then, well, who knows, the world is my oyster, take care, drink lots, rest lots! If you can...

Morning all decidedly cooler today i was going to go to the large shopping centre but i have decided to stay home and do some housework as i dont think i will be able to do much early next week with the temps due to peak at the fires of Hades temperature . The garage called and is collecting the car on Tuesday as the part is now in thank goodness .

Morning all, well it says it's 14 degrees here & its just been pouring down...I've just put a cardigan on A day spent at home for me today as I'm expecting a delivery and also my veg box. I've splashed out on a ninjagrill, I think the initial outlay will soon be justified in energy saving. I told DH that I'm going to use the main oven as a cupboard , his rather panicked reply was 'well you'll still need it to do the turkey.I need to shift stuff around as the new thing is quite big so I made a start earlier in the week & have freed up a cupboard. I have several bags ready for the hospice shop now, but hubby has been to work the last couple of days so it's stuck in a corner.

I popped into town yesterday for a gift, going to a 40th party on Sat, also DS2s on Sunday so got the cards too. Picked up some reduced mince from marks, & will cook that later.

Nice catching up on all your news, apologies for not mentioning names individually - I tend to forget by the time I've read the thread and started posting ;)I need a coffee now so take care everyone x
