Will I have the £650 grant?

Am I eligible for the £650 government grant? I am a 74-year-old male pensioner currently I receive a £194.12 state pension and also a £9.88 savings credit giving me a total of £204

Savings credit…is that the same as pension credit? If not then no you wont.

What you will get is the £400 energy rebate and your winter fuel payment.

If the savings credit is part of Pension Credit then yes you will.

I'm not well versed in PC but the legislation for the payments simply refers to 'state pension credit' and the State Pension Credit Act 2002 includes both the Guarantee Credit and Savings Credit in the benefit.

    "(2)

A claimant is entitled to state pension credit if—

    (c)he satisfies—

(i)the condition in section 2(1) (guarantee credit); or

(ii)the conditions in section 3(1) and (2) (savings credit)."

I assume you are talking about the Savings component of Pension Credit?
If so then yes you will receive it.

The guidance does not differentiate between Pension Credit Guarantee and Pension Credit Savings Credit. It just says Pension Credit.
