Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was ham, pork pie, boiled egg, salad and hot new potatoes. Tonight I'm not sure but will find something.
Now on annual leave - lovely.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC - enjoy your time off. It's a gloomy start here, and has rained, doesn't seem chilly. We had some heavy showers yesterday. We are not on school duties today. DD is feeling much better so she is doing it, Dgs doesn;t go to nursery today so she hasn't him to take and collect. We are going out at lunchtime with some friends, one pair are moving out of the area so it's a farewell really. We will miss them but I think they'll stay in touch.Hoping everyone has a good day today, take care folks.13

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. SCARLET enjoy the lunch, it will be a sad/happy occasion I'm sure. We had rain yesterday evening as promised. All clear now but due back again this evening. It's the best time to fall!
A busy day today starting off with an early visit from the hairdresser for a much needed cut. A couple of deliveries then due, including a bigger than normal Te*co order this afternoon. Fingers crossed all is p & c! In among I will give the kitchen and bathroom a good clean. There is a mountain of towels and bath mats to put in but not sure if it will get pegged out with the weather like it is!.
We had a lovely day in Skipton yesterday. My DF offloaded her worries and woes about her DH. He is getting increasingly hard to deal with. Nevertheless we enjoyed our lunch and obligatory bottle of wine and it did her good to get away from him for a while. And I came home laden like a pack horse! I have a happy cat as I spotted her HiLife Perfection whilst browsing,! so I came home with a box! Who knew Savers sold pet food!! We had gone in the big branch for DF some hair products and was amazed to see they also stocked pet food! A bargain too at £8.82 a box compared to the £12.42 direct from the HiLife! We have a small Savers in town so I must do a recce in there but I doubt they will have room for pet food as they only stock the basic stuff.
GERS the only American type diner/ice cream parlour I can think of in the vicinity is Billy Bob's but that's nearer to Bolton Abbey. Depends on the direction you were driving I suppose!
Well must get cracking. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning All
Raining again! We had a rest from it yesterday for a couple of hours, the towel wash nearly dried. I was very naughty and put it in the TD to finish it off. Bedding is in the WM but that will have to stay inside.
I was up and out early yesterday with DD for a trip to the mahoosive Tesco, HB and Costco. Stocked up with toiletries from HB but didn't buy anything else apart from a pair of light slippers to take with me tomorrow. Went for a late lunch with friends, first time the four of us have been out together for a while so it was good to catch up.
Housework today and a visit to the allotment, must pack a case too. I've ironed (sorry) what I am taking so just a case of squeezing it in. I'm also taking some caramel wafers and tunnucks tea cakes, not sure the tea cakes will survive the journey!
Hope you all have a good day, thinking of those not feeling too good.
Take care.XX12 -

Depends on the direction you were driving I suppose! Thanks. That's the one - just looked it up, it's only 4 miles from Skipton so I must have passed it. I remember being so surprised by it but never had time to stop. Now I have the time to stop I'm nowhere near it.

Morning all
Dry today for now but boy has there been some downpours
Had a couple of days over at the house to get it on the market. Came home to sleep but need to go and stay over soon if only to save some taxi money which along with everything else has now become extortionate. Need to get serious about it now as I have had one possible offer from the neighbour which I would be OK with but EA wants to go to market and see what happens for a while so I'm glad she's dealing with that side now the more we can get the more of mums care will be paid for.
Need to be there for a few days so that I can try to sell/give away stuff will also get a skip to make chucking stuff easier (I do love a skip) One thing I am determined about is that loads won't be coming back here to increase my clutter.....its tough though.
I think this would be so much easier if she wasn't here anymore but I feel I always need to check with her despite knowing she has little memory of the house. Just call me Cold fish declutterer now!
Day at home today need to chill a bit I think.
Have a good day all

Nice bright day here and meant to get really hot later. I have taken the day off as yesterday I started off with a sore throat and headache, its no better today so I have stayed off, will have a relaxing day today and try and fight it off, i have done a covid test which is negative so its probably just a cold.
Will put a wash on after this and hang it out, got to make the most of a good drying day. Dinner tonight will be summer in winter chicken which is very easy and tasty.
Camelot have a fab time away xxx
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning all. Bit cloudy here today and I have washing waiting to hang out so hope it stays dry.
I was very lazy yesterday, spent a lot of the day sitting down watching tennis and then I weighed myself this morning to find I'm the lightest I've been for over a decade! Can't win can you?! Shall keep on as not far off dropping down below 10stone but I'm not very tall
Today we have a video call with DH's sister and BiL in Sydney then we are at DGS's Sports Day at pre school later. In the meantime I've sorted out a lot of carrier bags for one of the charity shops in town so need to pop up with those.
Using some chicken thighs from the freezer to make fajitas for later.
Enjoy your day everyone.12 -
Nelski - my heart goes out to you. Clearing a loved family home is never easy, it's all the belongings which your mother treasured. I found it incredibly difficult last year and still fret about what I disposed of. Like you I was determined to not bring back 'stuff' though I found myself with more than I wanted. Thankfully most of the excess is now also gone, I just need to break some heart strings with the tiny amount left. An offer for the house already is good. I hope that you have at least some moral support if not actual help from your brother.I've just had a phone call from JL - my new sofas and chair are now booked for delivery to me on 20 July
At last I'll see the last of the two brown leather ones which are going to good homes. The regret is replacing my lovely Stressless chair which is really comfortable, however it keeps hips lower than knees which is not a good position for the hips. It too is being re-homed so it'll be appreciated.Ruby - there does seem to be a rather heavy cold doing the rounds of the country. Plenty of fluids and rest are in order.Right, I'm off out to return a dress to Marks and post a return.12 -
Morning! Today my car gets tinted, and thanks to an impromptu meeting arrangement, my house needs ot be sparkling, or at least tidy, by tonight. Going to a wedding on Saturday which means really, I should have thought before getting my face burnt, I look like a dalmation but worse...oops,oh well, no one willl be looking at me and I can hide in the pictures. So a day of cleaning and organising and probably some decluttering to do. I was hoping to play in the front garden but I doubt that will happen now. I also have to try and cut the grass which has decided it is a proper savannah, not a well behaved lawn.Enjoy your time away camelot..Izzy, probably because they won't find someone like you again, conscientious that is. TA, congrats on your unexpected find! snoozer, well done for helping him but don't do it next time
nanny, everyone is allowed to eat cake, just varying amounts
[not me though, I went completely off piste yesterday] Nels, I can't imagine how it is because she's with you, that's a new level of additional stress to add to the normal ones when you have to clear a house. Ruby, hope it is just a cold! WL, congrats on the weight loss. Gers, some nice recycling there
happy new sofa. Look after yourselves folks, don't let the custards drag you down!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12
