Cost of Living Chaos

Hi Everyone,
Having read & re-read the eligibility criteria for the Cost of Living payments I'm stuck wondering if hubby & I will be eligible. We were on tax credits up until the 5th May but a change in circumstances meant a move to the dreaded Universal Credit on the 6th May. We continue to be on Universal Credit as I'm disabled, my hubby is on a low income & we have children. Will we be eligible as the jargon about assessment dates & payment dates makes me dubious.

To get the first Cost of Living Payment of £326, you must have received a payment, or an annual award of at least £26, of tax credits on any day in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022.

Did you get a TC payment between those dares? If so you qualify.

First payment of £326 for tax credits claimants will be in the Autumn rather than in July like other means tested benefits.
