Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy and warm. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was pie, chips and beans for menfolk, I had fish and HG salad leaves, tonight I'm not sure, but will organise something later.
Yesterday work was ok, my last working day of the week today, on days off until Monday.
Keep safe and well x
nmlc x

Thanks for the starts nmlc and Scarlett.
Have a good break away Scarlett, hope the weather is kind to you.
Happy shedding Ruby!
Hoping Laura feels better today Snoozer.
Quite overcast and still this morning. It got really warm yesterday so sports day went ahead, we must have had every parent there, it was good to see. I did some pressure washing until there was a shower, my back was aching so hopefully I'll get it finished tonight but there's rain forecast for later so we'll see.
Hope everyone is well today, enjoy Thursday. Take care.XX
Nice and bright here and set to warm up again. DS2 has his last Physics A level today and they've said they can ditch their blazers so just do it in shirt and tie. It's a 9am start this time. I saw Swan Song last night - odd little movie but I enjoyed it. I had the entire cinema theatre to myself! WFH today and going to see the new Emma Thompson film tonight. Dinner will be fish pie and veg.
Hope Laura is feeling brighter snoozer - not fun being pregnant in this heat
Ouchy to the finger injury Yorkslass
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy
Hugs to everyone, happy Thursday to all.
Bright and sunny here - the weather has been glorious this week it got up to 31 deg yesterday and the same forcast for today and tomorrow, sorry for those who have less fortunate weather.
Off to work for me and there is a trip out today for some of the clients so I will have a quiet day with only one client who I get on really well with so should be a nice day.
OH has the day off he has to take his dad to the hospital this morning and will then start to empty and dismantle the shed, he said he might even get the concerete done if he has time
Something with mince for dinner tonight might do a spag bol or a chilly, will eat in the garden again as its so nice to sit outside.
Yorkslass ouch to your finger xxx
Have good days all xx
It promises to be another lovely day, much like yesterday when we had sun and cloud. I did a bit of the never ending tidying of the front garden before it got too warm and then I took my book out into the back garden and read on and off throughout the afternoon. The temps stayed around 21/22 deg which is my limit these days, I can't do with overpowering heat any more.
This morning I will make a good start on the Friday Tidy before sitting outside, as it sounds as though tomorrow will be too hot to be cleaning!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. YL ouch that sounds painful, look after that finger. I hope Laura has picked up a bit SNOOZER. Happy shed building RUBY.
TA Im with you on the mad temperatures. Fortunately national weather reports seems to think we all live in the south east so its a little cooler in the deep dark north...suits me much more. I did used to sun worship with the best but prefer more moderate weather now. BTW on air fryers....definitely the best thing I ever bought. I got the ninja grill a while ago which has air fryer grill bake roast and dehydrate as functions but by the most used is air fryer. It's months since I used my oven.
The man who was fitting the rail at mums tomorrow has decided he would rather do another job which is so annoying as I arranged everything else around him coming. What is it with tradesmen? Anyway still got all the agents coming to value so will still be a busy day.
Nice pasta last night for dinner and there's enough left for a brunch soon. Sausage mash and onion gravy for dinner
camelot glad the sports day went well...used to love sports days.
coxy good luck to DS thats one tough exam I bet
Have a lovely Thursday all
Yesterday had a change of plan as I got a call to ask if I'd collect DGS from pre school for lunchtime as DSiL is away and DD had to be at the Vets. DGS comes home for lunch a couple of times a week so it's a quick turnaround. Anyway, we made the 30min trip with time to spare and all was well. Meant I didn't make the biscuits but can do that another day.
Today I need to get some shopping, do a bit more ironing and then I might do an organised walk with a group from our local Community Centre. It's a paid thing with coffee and cake afterwards but I can't make out if we get taken there by mini bus as the place mentioned is about 3 miles away and I can't see there would be enough time otherwise. I might turn up and see as I could do with a walk today.
Dancing/playing at the pub last night went well; the audience joined in and were appreciative and the publican brought out bowls of chips, sausage rolls and cut up pizza slices so people were tucking in - except me!
Hope everyone stays well and gets a share of the sunshine.
WL sounds like a great evening.
Nelski boo to the tradesman, hope all goes well with the Agents.
Ruby enjoy your quiet day at work
Izzy fingers crossed for a lovely evening for you to sit out and enjoy your downtime.
TA I hope that you get another chance to sit out later.
Gers Woody Woodpeckers such joy.
Coxy how decadent - your own private screening
Camelot what a great turn out for sports day.
Scarlett enjoy your time away.
Snoozer fingers crossed for a better day for Laura
YL ouch to the knife and finger incident.
In domestic news OH and I are going for a walk shortly, over 1 bridge, along the hillside, cross another bridge (may wave debit card at card machine for outside service at cafe and have a coffee) and dodge via the back streets through town and back home, will be equipped with masks and handsanitizer and keep well away from folks.
I took delivery of monster Ninja Foodi pot yesterday, not sure how we will fit it in, very little space with cupboard clearance, already have the one like Nelski's which is used daily, only used oven once in 8 months. More washing ready to go on line.
Have a great day and don't forget the spf folks.
