Switching current account - what happens to H2B ISA?

I'm wanting to move my HSBC current account to somewhere else, likely First Direct for the switching bonus. However I have an (unused) savings account and a Help to Buy ISA with HSBC too. Does anyone know what will happen to these if I moved? Would it just move the current account? Any help would be great thank you. I did search and look at old threads but none were really relevant.

The Current Account Switching Service will only switch the current account - there won't be any effect on savings accounts unless their terms require you to hold an HSBC current account (I don't believe they do but you should check).
  • Worth mentioning that if you bank online, some HSBC savings accounts won't allow you to add new payees online. Once your current account is closed, you'll need to phone up if you want to transfer your savings elsewhere.

I had this issue when I closed my Advance account earlier in the year. Had a bit of interest paid inadvertently into the savings account that was a pain to withdraw since I couldn't do it online. Ended up closing the savings account to get access to the money.
