So decided to try do a charge back  which they have contested. Saying trying to contact me and alot of lies this has made me so ill. I just don't know what to do. Bank said I've got till 22 June to challenge it. The owner as written a load of lies on the report and I cannot proof it. I have arthritis copd severe asthma and mental health issues and heart disease. They sent me 2 emails where I've sent them 15 I tried to contact them not picking  up phone. Emailed not emailing back. Can any one offer advise of what I can do. Making me very ill

1st off your boyfriend needs to deal with it as it is his card. All he can do is contest on the grounds that it is faulty. He will need some proof of this.

Your disabilities do not come into this.

But does he live with you & get any benefit from the sofa?

Hi no he doesn't live with me. He paid on his credit card but I have got to give him the money back. On invoice receipt it's all my details. Address. My email and so on. So I'm going to be 1500 down.. as soon as it was fitted I took pictures and emailed and tried phoning them.

it's still his card and therefore him that's got to make the claim.  The card company shouldn't even be talking to you about it.

but help him out by setting everything down simply in a straight timeline.

    1/5/22 - bought sofa
14/5/22 - sofa delivered and discovered to be faulty.  Arms broken, fabric ripped.  Notified company by email of faults.  No reply.
    15/5/22 - emailed again - no reply

    etc etc

if the company doesn't respond then the card company should assist.

Hi thanks yes did all that. Then he phoned to open the dispute.. then bank emailed saying they have contested the dispute. So if don't sort it by 22 June with company they get money back. On there report there is alot of lies.. saying trying contact me by email and phone which they never. Sent in all photos off faulty sofa. Recliners because arthritis.. they put false stamp on receipt saying checked. Which there isn't on my. Photos and emails I sent was on day of delivery. But company are still lying

So he just need to go back with your evidence.

You only get one shot at this. It is now at Pre Arbitration stage. His CC get chance to argue your case & either Visa or Mastercard will make a judgement.

No S75 on this either from what you have said. So to stand a chance you need to get in fast.
