Morning folks. It's another wet and windy start to the day, really horrid outside. I think I'll be staying indoors today, there's always the guest room demanding more attention to keep me occupied. 😀
I have some leftover lasagna and coleslaw to finish up later, after that's gone the fridge will be empty of fresh food so I'll pull something out of the freezer for tomorrow. When I'm back down in Glasgow on Monday I'll restock the fridge.Perhaps some are having great weather, I hope so. Hugs to our poorlies, Happy Saturday to all.11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.It was very windy here yesterday, but warm. it still looks to be windy now, and cloudy. We have dd's dog staying with us this weekend, so I'll be taking him out soon. He's only here till Monday, and is no trouble.Dh seems to have caught Dgs's cold, he's had one cold after another since the beginning of the year, strange. We were going to go out today, but Dh might be better staying at home, he's coughing quite a lot.I'll have to go to the shops, but I can shop locally.Thats about it for today, hope everyone has a good day.Take care folks10

DDog and I had a bit longer walk as I was up early. We'll be setting off in a moment to pick up DS2, DGS for football- not sure if DGD is still there this morning.I have a choice of meals in the fridge tonight so won't need a takeaway, mind you before my delivery on Thursday, I'd never seen the fridge so bare.Well have a good weekend if you can ,Scarlet hope the colds get better soon x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
Wet and windy here too Gers, that's put a stop to the gardening and pressure washing. Hopefully it will clear up later. Thankfully no washing to do today.
I caught the early bus to work yesterday with my pirate outfit in my bag! Great day at school although the children were all very excited to have a mermaid and pirate day. DD gave me a lift home - she had some bags of sand in her car that I can use when I do the block paving. Her and the little one ended up staying for their dinner, I was pooped after they left.
Caught up with the Sewing Bee last night, bit of a tear jerker, very brave lady.
Hope your DH gets over his cold quickly Scarlett.
So pleased you like your new hairstyle Gers.
Slow down Snoozer, you'll make yourself poorly.
Wish I could help Nelski, never an easy job.
Hope you get nice new neighbours Nanny, the house next to me has just sold so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get decent new folk in.
Have a good trip WL.
Hope the poorlies are on the mend.
Must do a bit of shopping today and will call at the allotment to see if everything is OK. Have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone off to take a roll of wallpaper back that I haven’t used but I will buy some paint in its place I can’t find the receipt but they have said I can exchange it then we will have to put some fuel in the car we don’t go very far in it so don’t fill up that often I’m pleased to say then it will be back to finish the painting off I started yesterday if it stays dry we have had a shower already and it’s cloudy and very windy I was supposed to be getting a proper staircase up to my loft in a couple of weeks time I had someone that was highly recommend we have a huge loft in this house it has sockets radiators and a window in but a dangerously steep set of stairs going up but when he has come with his fitter they have said I will need a builder in it’s a big job to get these other stairs out and they dread to think what is behind them it could end up been a big job so we have decided to knock it on the head and the money we have saved we will put it towards the kitchen and save the money for the big job maybe next year I could do with wining the lottery but I don’t put it on so there’s not much chance of that .thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and set in for a lovely day, there is washing on the line and another load in the wm which can go out.
I had an email from my energy company yesterday saying that they want to put my diredt debit up from £90 per month to £175almost double !! so we are trying to cut down even more on what we are using, the TD is out of bounds, the washing will be on the line or on the airer overnight, , my OH has a terrible habbit of leaving lights on wherever he goes, even during the day so I have had words with him, I came down this morning to find he had gone out and left two lights on
The winter will be particularly bad as the heating uses a lot of fuel so we will try and rely on the log burner only for as long as we can, its a terrible situation !
The meeting went well yesterday so I am now waiting to hear if he would like to come here, I think he will as we got on very well, so hopefully I will hear next week.
We are going to collect a new patio set today we saw one in Home Bargains for a good price but they had sold out, so we went on a waiting list and they called yesterday to say they had one, so we will go and collect today, we were down to two chairs on our old one so its just in time really, we shall christen it tonight with a bbq !
Shopping to collect today and a few bits to collect from another shop.
Have good days all xxx10 -
Morning folks and thanks for starting us off GERS. The day isn't living up to forecast, where are the sunny spells we are supposed to be getting. It's total cloud and that blessed wind is still with us. Yesterday would have been lovely apart from that wind.
I'm late to the party today as I got the 8.30 bus down into town. It was like a ghost town down there but I got what I wanted and I was back home again by 9.30. I keep promising myself a dolly trolley as I can't carry heavy bags these days but I'm worried I might get carried away and end up with it too heavy to lift on the bus!
Nothing planned for today. I was hoping to sit in the garden after lunch but the wind has scuppered that idea. It would be a good drying day but with fuel prices as they are I am trying to wait till I have full loads before I put the wm on instead of thinking oh it's a good drying day I'll do some washing.
I'm now going to update my Tes*o order which is due tomorrow. Stuff to add on and stuff to remove. It's mostly f & v, dairy and fridge stuff. The freezers are slowly looking less rammed although I do succumb to any bargains I spot to fill the spaces.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Good morning
The weather forecast says windy with sunny intervals, so we've just had a 10 minute downpour🌧
My nephews are here and will hopefully finish the patio today between showers
We went out to a 'spoons last night for dinner and had the best fish and chips I 've had for years, really thick white fish and the batter was perfect😋
No plans for today, will watch a bit of telly and do some cross stitch. We finished the new series of Outlaws last night, we thoroughly enjoyed it😊
Have a good day🌻7 -
Hello all, yesterday we had a glorious day here with wall to wall sunshine, but I thought it was Saturday, doh !
It's not so good here today, more overcast with strong wind gusts but maybe it will brighten up later. There were another couple of viewings of next door, it seems to be quite popular. I'm not the nosey culprit this time, Mr Fix It was. (TBF He was working in his shed and could see people wandering around the garden and looking up at the house ) It will be very strange to have neighbours after almost 3 years, hope they're nice. (Fingers crossed for you too Camelot)
The repair garage has phoned this morning and our car is ready so it's booked in for a return on Wed. Yay ! I got all the washing dried yesterday and it's all in a neat pile in the spare bedroom so I must put that all away today. I want to clean around all the light switches and door handles too, something that I have neglected for a while. The DW will need emptying and I'll do a gentle bit of pottering/tidying, then I want to try to finish my jigsaw as there's only a corner left to do now, but it's all green trees and time consuming as all the pieces look very similar.
Scarlet hope DH's cold is mild and not a stinker.
RedRuby fingers crossed for you for next week. I think there will be a lot of people going cold/ hungry this winter 😒
Camelot I agree about the sewing bee lady, I was quite sad she had to go. She was a marvel for the things she made, I couldn't do half of that.
Have a good day everyone
Take care and hugs to anyone in need.
nan xx

Morning all (just),
Bright and sunny here. I've been to FC and put on 2lb this week due to long weekend away, meals out, cake and copious wine. Thinking it could have been a lot worse. Back on the wagon for today. DMum's 80th bday tomorrow so more cake, but I'm driving so no alcohol for me.
A crow fell down DS2's bedroom chimney on Thursday and got stuck in the void behind the cast iron fireplace. DH had to dangle a gloved hand into the abyss aka I'm a Celeb, to rescue it. I hate birds as they are so unpredictable! It managed to fly out of the window after relieving itself on DS2's carpet!
Fingers cross for nice new neighbours Nanny - can't put a price on those!
Steak and sw chips for dinner tonight as just DH and I for tea.
Have a good day all,
