Car Insurance - New / Older driver

I decided (due to restrictions in mobility) that after all these years I would start driving - bought a little run around and my test is due soon.
I am over 50 but have never - I hear all the tips on job title, where the vechile is parked etc but any tips to get the rate of insurance dow (£1.4k fully comp - monthly installments is the best I found - more than the car is worth).
Only driving 10 miles to work and back 3 days a week, resident parking and dash cam fitted.
Thanks in advance.
