Changing over to UC will I get the £650

I’m currently on tax/working tax credits , I will be changing over to UC by the end of the week .. will I still be entitled to the £650 low income help ?

Claimants will need to be in receipt of one of these benefits, or have begun a claim which is later successful, as of 25th May 2022 to be eligible for the first of the two instalments. Therefore, you will receive the first payment. the £650 is being made in two separate payments. You will get each of the two payments as long as you have a claim for either tax credits or UC on the relevant date(s). The date for the first payment was 25/5/2022, on which you were claimaing Tax Credits, so you will get the first payment under tax credits.

Whether you get the second payment under tax credits or UC will depend which benefit you are claiming on the relevant date - which has not been set yet.
