Whenever I have a watched item I send an offer for 5% off the buy it now price. All my items are set with Immediate Payment, but when the buyer accepts an offer this doesn't apply.
Sold an item on Friday (only £8) and the buyer still hasn't paid. Sent the payment reminder this morning and just got a message back saying 'can I pay on Thursday?'
Why would you buy if you don't have the money?
What should I do - am tempted to just cancel the sale and block the buyer, but don't want to get negative feedback.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Call Ebay. They answer the phones very quickly and very helpful. I've had to call them 3/4 times over 5/6 years and they answered the phone within a couple of minutes and were always very helpful.

NB: I was not always happy with their answers but it their T&C's and when I buy/sell on their site what they say goes but worth a call IMHO

If you open a non paying bidder case they may pay before it times out so cancelling it now maybe a bit late.

Maybe best just wait it out and open a case if they don't pay on Thursday.  Soolin will probably advise the timeframe for
sending invoices but the quicker you send it out the sooner you find buyers like that and the faster you can move to open
    a case.

Thanks. I think I can open a nonpayment case on Wed.
To be honest I was flabbergasted that someone could be so cheeky! Ask Tesco's if you can wait a week to pay and see what they say.....

You cannot cancel until day 4 has passed, once you are 4 days + you can cancel the sale using reason ‘buyer has not paid’ and at that point buyer cannot leave feedback, I also block any buyer that I have to open a case on. However I think I’d wait now until Thursday, that only gives them just over another day to pay, but after that close case and move on.

By coincidence I have one at the moment, accepted an offer on three small items last Thursday and only after day 4 was reached did they bother to tell me they can’t pay until Tuesday evening. I might as well wait until then as I’ve lost the FVF offer anyway so am in no rush to re list.

I can’t see any reason to call eBay, the system is there to be used. Either wait until Thursday, or cancel the sale on day 4 + . Buyers cannot be forced to pay any quicker.

Thanks Soolin. So as they bought on Friday, I can cancel tomorrow (Tuesday)?
Could wait till Thursday and see if they pay, but to be honest this has annoyed me so will cancel tomorrow and block them from buying anything else from me.
Buyers have to learn that this sort of behaviour is unacceptable - well it is to me anyway!

If they bought at say 8pm Friday you can usually cancel from about 8.15 pm Tuesday. If you listed it on a FVF offer then you will lose that offer if you relist , that’s why I decided to wait for mine to pay as I probably wouldn’t bother re listing until the next FVF offer anyway.

Update. Despite saying they would pay on Thursday, the buyer actually paid yesterday - 10 minutes before I would be able to raise a non-paying strike against them!
    Obviously knows how ebay works.

Possibly just a coincidence they paid early, maybe due to the bank holiday?

Noticed my money went in on Thursday and not Friday.
