Tax Free Childcare - I didn't know it existed

Hi All,

For a litany of reasons (yes I know it is obvious once you know  ) I did not realise that we could have been using the tax free childcare for the last 2 years and we have missed out on £2k+ of credits.

Is there a way to claim back for the period of time that I have missed out on? I have looked at the website and there is a compensation system however this is only for delays caused by the credit system.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks, not really the answer I was hoping for. Seems unfair that some things such as tax returns can be adjusted years after submission however this system is not flexible.
