You get 30 days to pay if you lose so there is no risk.  No CCJ remains. It is a no-brainer to turn up and defend.

Did you file and serve a WS bundle and decent evidence?  You didn't run it past us at all, which is fine if you based it on the one I linked for you.

Thanks for clarifying, that's a relief as the thought of my credit score being affected was playing on my mind.

I did submit a WS and evidence following the recommended template and guidance in the forum, so again.. thank you for the support with this.

I'm hopeful I can get the result I want on Thursday as from reviewing the claimant's pack, they've submitted photos of signage that is no longer present. Their case is based around signage showing that chargeable terms apply but this proves otherwise...

    Fingers crossed.

OK, not half bad then - except that one is a bit old now and he lost.  And the Southampton (Crosby) case isn't used any more at all, because a matching case was appealed.

@bpatts2022 just for reassurance again, I defended my default CCJ, it was removed from file within a week and everything's gone back to like it never existed. I've just changed cars without issue, baring mind whilst having the CCJ I couldn't even get a £6 phone contract .... Even if you loose, (which you wont with the help on here), its paid within 30 days and removed anyway, so same outcome. They throw CCJ in there purely to scare you into submission.

    Good luck with your hearing

    Thank you @Harvez63, appreciate it.

Received the below email this afternoon so my hearing will not be happening tomorrow now...

I guess I wait for another letter now! Do I have to resubmit documents?

    Good afternoon,

Please be aware that unfortunately, the hearing on 30.3.23 at xx will not go ahead. The matter is being stood out of the Court list due to judicial sickness.

    Please note:

If you are representing a client, please inform them of this change; and
You do not need to attend the courthouse.

If you have any further queries, please email [email protected] - Your case will be relisted in due course.

No need to resubmit, it may be relisted quickly or not. We received a phone call the following week asking if we were free in 2 days time -  went ahead and won.

Received a letter yesterday, it's been re-arranged for February 2024!

    Unbelievable.

And it has been moved to another town court too.
