Return of £250 to seller RM or EBay ?

Returning a faulty item to seller ,I have had a label generated , but would that be enough insurance to cover the item ?
Or would it be safer to pay the £7 odd myself for the £250 insurance cover and send to the same address as on the EBay label
Thanks

As the label was provided to you by eBay/the seller, you are covered regardless as far as I'm aware.
If you use your own label and it goes missing, then the responsibility for filing a claim with RM etc is with you, rather than the seller.

Thanks - yes that makes sense - looking at the label provided it only covers up to £100 for sending a £250 item - surprises me that EBay allows this option when they know how much the item was sold for - so if it does go missing they would have to bear the shortfall I assume

They / buyer. Doesn't matter, what does is that it won't be you although I'd get proof of posting to cover you.
I think it would be the buyer who took the hit for not sending an adequate insurance label themselves when they had the opportunity.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

If eBay have provided the label and you haven't paid for it then the responsibility of the parcel doesn't lay with you.

It may be a £250 item but someone somewhere may have purchased it for a lot less in order to resell.
