Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but,air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo. Not sure wash load will get dry - but will see how it goes.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a cheeky takeaway - eaten and enjoyed. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having but something quick and easy.
I have the normal "to do" list so will work my way through that and I'm working tomorrow morning also so will have an easy afternoon.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Thank you everyone for the concern you all showed for my Dh and me when he was taken ill , you're all so kind and caring. He's fine now after frightening the life out of me!It's a sunny start here, I might put a load in the WM. There's a few jobs to do today, a parcel to return, and some paperwork to sort out.I'm going to a friend's tonight, she only lives about 10 minutes walk away, so nice and handy.Nelski, thinking of you, it's so difficult and emotional having to clear out a parent's house. My mother seemed to have kept every birthday card she'd ever received, and postcards from friends who had been on holiday from years and years previously. When we emptied the house after my dad died it wasn't so bad, he wasn't a keeper of stuff, in fact he had thrown away documents etc he should have kept.Yorkslass, sorry to hear that your Dh has had a fall, hope he didn't hurt himself. Its a shock though, when you fall. Getting old is no picnic.TA hope you enjoyed your trip to see your granddaughter dancing, you must be so proud.also, hoping Sparkle is all right after her trip to the vets'.Snoozers, hope you are feeling better, and thoughts to others who aren't well, or looking after relatives.Take care folks.16

Morning All
Wet and miserable this morning, the gardens are well and truly watered now so it can stop!
Glad Mr Ribbons is well now, still a scary experience.
Hope your OH is recovering from his fall Yorklass.
Hugs to you Nelski, if I lived closer I would give you a hand.
Hope you enjoyed your Theatre trip TA.
Are you OK Florence, haven't heard from you for a while.
For a short day, it seemed very long at work yesterday with training all morning. I thought I would have had more time to catch up on my own work but that will have to wait until today. I'm going for a blood test first thing so will be late in, it's been a strange week.
I spoke to my elderly Aunt yesterday, it was her 86th birthday. My Cousin and I sent her flowers that she seemed very pleased with and a church friend took her out for lunch. Shame her daughter didn't make an effort, one of the reasons I don't have much contact with her.
Must go in the shower now and get myself moving. Have a happy Friday if you can. Take care. XX12 -

Morning
Was going to nip to mums home yesterday and start off loading but quite honestly I just didn’t have the energy mental or physical For the first time in as long as I can remember I had a nap in the afternoon. Anyway I’ve booked in this morning instead and plan to take a bagful for her. A good sleep is so important to me. That’s another wonder of getting older I guess.
When I get back I really need to join the Friday tidy gang my kitchen is shocking.
Chicken pie for dinner very easy warm up and I may add some chips and peas if I cba
Hope Mr Scarlett is feeling better
Thanks Camelot
Have a good day all

Morning all,
Bright and sunny start here. Will see what washing needs doing – there’s always some! I have an increasing ironing pile here too, so will tackle that this evening. I am giving blood after work, so will see how I feel later!Have had a direct approach about a job – my CV is online and they think I’d be a good fit so I’m going to follow that up today. I also need to pay the balance for our holiday accommodation plus the deposit for some shutters for our lounge. Eye-watering amount, but this has been on the list of improvements for a while. We would like to move in a couple of years’ time and this needs doing.
Hope that Sparkle got on okay at the vet and you enjoyed the theatre TA – I saw the show a while back and loved it.
Taff – I can relate to those feelings! Keep thinking I should have tried harder at school so as not to be stuck in a job rather than a career aged 52!
Dp1 – hope the heard monitor is not too intrusive.
Glad you’re feeling a bit brighter snoozer but poor little Esben. Sending get better wishes to you all x
Hoping that MrYL and MrScarlet are doing okay today.
Nels – you need to rest up when you can. Hope DMum is okay when you visit later x
Izzy – heatwave coming at the end of next week I believe?
We seem to have misplaced Florence and JackieO – hope you’re both doing okay ladies.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's dry and bright at the moment but does feel much milder. Sadly rain is forecast later but we do need it! Well the gardens do anyway! The bits of mizzle we have been having haven't helped much.
I feel half doped this morning as yesterday was a day of one thing after another. Starting with the vets (YL your image of a cartoon cat getting rammed in the carrier isn't wrong!) £71 poorer and back in another month for more of the same. Then shopping and later pre-show dinner and then the Lion King. Everyone who has seen it say it's an excellent production and they are not wrong. But the theatre was packed and incredibly warm which spoiled it a bit. It didn't finish until almost 10.30 and then to get home so it was very late to bed for me. I'm too old for late nights these days!
So whether the Friday Tidy happens remains to be seen. Maybe a half hearted one might have to do with an afternoon nap to catch up on lack of sleep.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and fed up. YL I hope your DH isn't suffering after effects from his fall. NELS thinking of you. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone
Very windy here this morning - I've got washing to hang out so I'll be hoping it doesn't end up over the fence and into the field.
Hoping to go down to mam and dads this morning and do his banking but also expecting a plumber so will have to see what time he turns up. The upstairs bathroom radiator seems to be leaking. Also want to ring Sky - dad seems to be paying a lot for his broadband so I want to see if I can get it reduced. I got £8 a month taken off mine last week.
Will go into town this afternoon to get the heart monitor fitted then I expect little one will be coming up for her tea. I have hot dogs for her.
TA - Sparkle is certainly an expensive cat!
Coxy - good luck with the job
Nelski - take it easy, the cleaning can wait
Hope everyone has a good day today. Take care x13 -
Good morning,
Drizzly🌧 here but still quite warm, I've a load of washing on so hoping it's stopped by the time it's finished.
I also want to get out into the garden as I've got lots of tidying up to do.
Need to start packing 🛍as we are going away next week, I'm a bit anxious about getting through the airport but I expect I'll relax once we get there.
Hugs to all the poorly, sad and worried♥️
Have as good a day as you can🌻11 -
Hello all, it's a bit overcast here but nevertheless the bed has been stripped and the bedding is in the wm, hope I can get it out and dry before we have the forecasted showers later. I shall dust and hoover upstairs and remake the bed then that's me done for the day, thank goodness I did most of my cleaning yesterday as I feel a bit sluggish today. I made up a bag for the cs too and it has been collected this morning, I really don't need 5 handbags !
The DGC are coming after school for a sleepover as DD and SiL are going to see a show in Cardiff tonight. A roast dinner has been requested so I'll do chicken, roasties, yorkies and lots of veg, like me they too love their veg. We will watch a couple of films tonight, DGD has the first choice then DGS can choose something more age appropriate for him when she's gone to bed, I think he wants to watch the new Batman film.
Hope all the poorly ones are feeling a bit better today and the OH's too.
Take care all, stay well.

Moning all
Lovely bright sunny day here, I have a wash on the go and that will be hung out later, and another one to go in.
Day off for me today and I slept till 9 which was much needed for a three day week its been a really long one ! I have a meeting at 2.45 today with another client so fingers crossed that goes well, he is a non verbal autistic man who is apparantly lovely so I am looking forward to meeting him.
Something with chicken breast for dinner, I might do some SW chips and do a dry rub on the chicken and roast them, I have lost 1/2 stone which I am thrilled about I would like to loose at least another 1.5 stone so a way to go yet.
I need to have a clean through this morning to make it presentable for this afternoon.
Nels glad you had a rest day - as you know i love a napthey do you the power of good xxx
Have good days all xxx10
