Hello everyone ! I am refering back a post I made a fairly long time ago, around 2 years ago - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6102492/stressed-by-debt-but-have-a-plan-please-help-me-with-ideas-or-advise/p1 .
It has been 2 years and thought of also updating the forum and everyone who has helped me with advice. I have been stalking the forums since then, but haven't posted, except for today when I had some tax related queries, which reminded me how incredibly helpful the posters here are. Total debt 2 years ago was around 35k, a lot really and although I haven't been able to pay it all off, I can proudly say that my debt now is at a healthy 15k, so around 20k lower than 2 years ago. Plan on moving forward and trying to get it lower and lower !

That's great progress - well done! Allowing that you're now moving fully into "long haul" territory on getting it cleared, it might be helpful to remember how supportive and helpful the boards here can be in order to keep yourself motivated and spurred on if motivation starts to flag a little - perhaps now would be a good time to start a DFW of your own - it's a nice way of being able to look back on your progress, too!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

This is a brilliant achievement! It may be worth creating a debt free diary to track your remaining debt and regularly posting so that you can keep yourself motivated and get some magical support from other forumites
