Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but cloudy, air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo. Not sure wash load will get dry - but will see how it goes.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Work yesterday was ok, either manic busy or dead. Last day today until Tuesday and a slightly shorter day too. Had a busy afternoon also but got done what I wanted.
Dinner last night was fish and rice/vegetables. Tonight I'm not sure but will find something.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your shorter day.
Beautiful morning, just what I need to go back to work! I only have today and tomorrow then a long weekend so shouldn't be too bad. I have a haircut after work today too, couldn't manage it last week and I badly need it.
Pleased to hear your DM is settled Nelski and Ruby, I'm sure your Mum is happy to be home.
Must dash, haven't had to be organised in the morning for some time!
Take care. XX14 -
Morning folks.Today could be 🌞 though the jury is still out. This morning I have to head up to Oban to buy a new laptop mouse, mine suddenly stopped responding despite me putting in new batteries. It scrolls OK but won't click and I disabled the touchpad ages ago as I don't like to use it. At least I'll enjoy the drive. My thoughts are with our poorlies and DMs. Happy Thursday to all.15

Morning all,
Thanks for the start nmlc x
Quick one from me today as I'm in the London office today. Had end of year review with line manager yesterday which was cathartic. She was mortified that she forgot to nominate me for an award, but tbh anyone can nominate anyone, so not just her passing me over. Will be seeing boss in person today and have booked 30 minutes to discuss my role and ask about development opportunities. Will also tell her about the IV. No news yet and I'm not holding out much hope. Still have a couple of external applications out there, and there are another two I want to apply for. Depending where my hot desk is situated I might do that today
Am taking all my food/cutlery/mug with me, so rucksack is rather full! It's expensive buying lunch and coffees out, so I have planned ahead!
Glad to hear you got to see DMum Nels and that your DMum is settled Ruby xx
Sorry if I've missed anyone, will try to get back on later.
Have a good day all,

Good morning, it's a grey start here, yesterday was freeezing.Nelski and Ruby, glad to hear your mums are a bit better.Sorry to read that your feet are so bad Izzy, I think you are on your feet at work, hope you'll manage..Gers, your house and garden look lovely..Glad you friend is doing well TA.Yesterday was so nondescript I can hardly remember what I did! it was just the usual stuff, and Dh went for his 4th anti Covid jab, so he had a sore arm for the rest of the day. This morning his arm is ok but he says he feels bunged up and snuffly, don't know if it's a reaction to the vaccine. He's ok though.I'm going to the theatre in Newcastle with dil's mum this afternoon to see "Dreamboats and Petticoats" or it might be the other way round. That'll be a nice change anyway.Thinking of everyone who is poorly or struggling with life, take care folks.15

Morning all
Its a bit overcast here today but will hopefully brighten up later, mum is doing much better at home and slept like a log which will help her, she managed a shower yesterday too which made her feel better.
I have my meeting this morning with HR and my big manager so hopefully they can offer some help.
TA I am so pleased that your friend is recovering well and that they managed to get all the cancer out, such good news xx
Better dash as im running late, have good days all xxx13 -
Morning
Cloudy day at the moment
Asda delivery due this morning so need to do a frantic fridge and freezer shuffle to squeeze it in its mostly salad stuff. Love a salad of various forms when it warms up so will be sneaking some in the plan.
Need to have an admin day for mum today. I have sadly neglected her finances in the last couple of months so I need to get my MSE head thoroughly screwed on and hit the phones. She has a mobile phone which, ever since she demanded one cos her sister had one, she has refused to use or even try so that needs cancelling. Mum and technology just don’t get on. I also need to check and sense test all her other bills. I have decided to keep up with her gardener and window cleaner as I don’t want her house looking neglected.
Could do with an admin day for me too but may skip that once my head is in explode mode which doesn’t take long these days
Bacon and cheese burger for dinner with loads of salad of course.
Have a good day all

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Brr another parky start here. No sun forecast and if we are lucky we may reach 10 deg later!!
I had a nice day out yesterday but at the last minute down to just two of us again thanks to a pain in the neck OH once more. We decided on Otley again and thanks to a bus time change we ended up on the little bus that goes all round the houses and takes three weeks to get there!! Never mind, it was quite pleasant doing a tour of all the outlying villages! We didn't spend much other than on lunch. I managed a few cards and gift bags from the 20p shop and that was my lot. It's always the busiest shop these days!
So an exciting morning of cleaning the kitchen and bathroom awaits. Then it will be feet up under my heated throw after lunch with my head in my latest book and probably nod off.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and just fed up. SCARLET enjoy the show (I was eyeing that up for when it's on near us) NELS and RUBY I'm glad to hear the DM's are doing ok. COXY good luck with the job hunt. The right one will come along eventually I'm sure. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning everyone does anyone know what’s happening with summer it’s freezing again here and dull and miserable well the lady I clean for on a Thursday morning has been on 2 weeks holiday but I have still gone to the house and cleaned i usually do the oven and inside the cupboards and under the stairs she sent me a message last night to say her daughter had come to stay a couple of days and not to bother she will just see me next week I have been paid so I’m not bothered it’s lovely not to have to walk up that big hill to her house it gives my feet a rest and I know her house is spotless inside and out for her to come home to unlike mine but my feet aren’t as bad hubby has given them a good massage every day painful but it is definitely helping. trying not to do any shopping until the first I’m sure I can manage plenty in I used the Lidl app last month I got a 2 pounds voucher and a 10 pounds one a free loaf and most of my shopping was reduced stickers my freezer is stuffed it’s only round the corner so it’s worth me popping in every day it’s like. a corner shop for me it’s fairly new in the town well a couple of years as we had no supermarket for years before that .meatballs for tonight I will go and prep them just have the pasta to do when I get in 1 until 5 today last one tomorrow which is a long day then 3 days off hallelujah.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing13

Morning everyone
The sun looks like it might be trying to peep out this morning. Needed to go down to the shop but I'm going to wait till later as I'm feeling shattered this morning. Will just have a gentle potter before work instead.
Little one is now being tested for diabetes - as if she hasn't got enough already! She has to have a monitor on her arm for a month so DD can measure her blood sugars throughout the day - consultant seems to think it's likely.
Coxy - good luck with your boss today
Camelot - hope work isn't too tiring
Redruby and Nelski - pleased your mums are doing better
Nothing much to say - just trying to manage work and rest in between as much as I can. Had a nice chat with DD in Germany last night - she's organising me to send her books over. She has lots of lovely fashion books, most of which I bought her for Christmases and birthdays, and she's wanting them in her apartment rather than in my spare wardrobe. It's going to be expensive but cheaper than having to take a few at a time when I visit or she comes home. I need to try to get some boxes to pack them.
Well I'm going to get my jobs done.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all. Yes, my washing is still on the line, it was a bit cold yesterday so once I put it out I scurried back in again and left it overnight. I'll stick it in the tumble for five mintes later, it should be just cold, not wet now. Made two pasta sauces yesterday, I took the italian sausages out of the freezer but four of them were way too much for both of us, so I split them in two, made one sauce with mushrooms and cream [ oo err] and the second one with tomatoes and carrot/celery/onion. Now I just need to work on portion control [ far too much] and then weighing pasta before I cook it [ also far too much] I see cutting the grass in my near future along with spy on next door who were going to have an extension but have employed someone to paint the outside of the house. It took him all day yesterday to paint half of the side of the house to head height, and when his mate turned up, they just had a big old chat. He won't be on the preferred list that's for sure. Now I fancy painting our house orange. Just because.Izzy, glad the massage is helping, boo its still painful, but yay, no cleaning...Nels, you have not sadly neglected her finances, you were busy with other stuff because you are not superwoman and there's only so much you can do. You are doing the very best you can in the circumstances. Good to hear she's happy there though, I bet that's a weight off. Has she made moving home noises or do you think she may settle there with more company? Ruby, good to hear your mother is doing well at home too. Scaret, most of my days are nondescript. But I really can waffle about food
Coxy, break a leg! Gers lovely garden in the sunshine! Nanny, hope it;s warmer for you today...camelot, hope work i gentle for you. Watch out for random sunshine today...it's playing hard to get...
