Can anyone clarify for certain please if this is (still) the case? I have an old BoS current account idling away which I'd like to use to obtain a decent switch reward elsewhere and the current Halifax Reward offer seems attractive.

It used to be listed as a condition of the Halifax switches that switches from Bank of Scotland would not count. Whether or not they would actually do the switch or not, I don't know. The term hasn't been there in offers since about 2019/2020 though, and plenty of people have reported being able to switch from BoS to Halifax and have received the payment.Switching between Lloyds and Halifax has always been fine.1
