Hi all

I currently work for Lady who runs a cleaning business and I am self employed, I registered online for a UTR so I can pay my tax and insurance and now need to file a self assessment, trouble is they are asking for my business name and I don't have one as its my boss's company so I am not sure what to do, any help and advice would be appreciated.

Your "business name" can just be your name.  Presumably the invoices/requests for payment you give to the Lady are in your name and payment goes into a bank account in that name too.

At the end of the week I send a list of clients and hours worked , and she sends me them back with the amount I have earned.
