in Credit cards
Hello,
I'm about to make a large purchase of about £15k and the deposit is £3k. I think the company would prefer for me to pay cash (debit card) which I don't mind but I would prefer a bit of protection so can I pay £100 on a credit card and the rest of the deposit cash or to get protection do I need to pay the whole deposit by Credit card ?
Cheers

You can pay 1p and get s75 protection.
You just need them to agree to accepting a credit card as payment.0 -
£100 is simply the minimum amount for an item/service to be covered - e.g. if you bought 99 red balloons at £99 each, you would not be covered but you would have the cover if they were sold as 1 purchase of 99 balloons costing £98010

OK cheers I thought it was between £100 and £30000 and all other advise seemed to say pay the deposit with credit card which in this case is quite big and I can understand it costs the company more to take a credit card payment.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.1

S73 cover is between £100 & £30K item purchase price.
You can pay as little as 1 Pence on a CC to have full S75 protection on the purchase (make sure you have proof of other payments, receipt etc) So long as it meets the S75 criteria.Life in the slow lane0
