Out of worried curiosity, should I worry if  I don't get a human response in time or at all? I don't know if there is a way to check if it's been input as my defense.

If you have received the auto acknowledgment from CCBC you should be fine, just keep checking your MCOL status every few days and it should update to show when your defence was received.

Hello all, quick update.

The case was transferred to a local justice services to be referred for conciliation - we showed up and the claimant didn't (as you predicted) - Judge struck it out before we even got there!

We're so relieved, thank you all so much for your help. If we had to go through it all again - we would.

Well done. Were you awarded costs, or did you make a claim for costs due to the claimant's unreasonable behaviour?

Great! Dismissed it before you got there...did the Judge say why? Lack of signage evidence?

And we sincerely hope you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Govt Public Consultation later this year?

Hopefully it will be open by November.

We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the proposed and excessive £130 'London level' that nobody asked for, and end the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA gaslighting of people.

If PPCs manage to turn around the decision on banning the gaslighting/claim-funding 'fees' then the DLUHC will be rubber-stamping £200 parking charges and if that happens, they (Government) and the PPCs will wreck high streets and people's lives - whoever is responsible if that happens (and it very nearly did in 2021) must hang their heads in shame.

We didn't no, honestly my Mother was just glad it was all over. She didn't want to deal with it any more.

Actually we didn't even get to see the judge. We signed into reception, awaited instruction on what to do next - around 25 minutes passed and no one called for us. It was by chance a staff member checked on it for us and we got the news that it had been done.

It was a bit anti climatic to be honest. The whole reason it was struck out seemed to be because the claimant never showed - I assume a small part was also probably how ridiculous it was. 🤷

That's really bad handling by the court. The case can't be decided without you, if you were sitting there!
