Co-operative bank has blocked my account

Co-operative bank has blocked my account Because I did not go into a branch and answer a few questions about my account in time.

Today I went in and they explained it to me and I answered there questions and she said she was unblocking the account. But I have just put my card in the cash machine and it still is failing to show a balance (like it did last night)

Some card systems only update overnight. I would try again first thing tomorrow morning before contacting them. There is a good chance it will work.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

you say overnight well its 23.54 now!

The bank is the card company.

Overnight is at least after midnight, but many do so several hours after that.

Many banks don't process their own card transactions directly, so the bank may well *not* be the card company.

Try again in the morning - how many current accounts do you have? From the tone of your post would I be right in saying that them blocking your account has caused you some issues? It might be worth having a second account (if you don't have one already) with some funds in for emergencies - so if ever you lose access to your main account, or an ATM swallows your card - you've got a backup to fall back on.
  • its still blocked!
