Copy of mothers will

Hello,

I know what was in my mothers will. I had a copy cant find it anywhere but i know i will inherit i have seen it in the past.

How can i get a copy? Do i just ask the executor which is my brother or his solicitor or can i get one another way?

If it hasn't gone through probate yet it won't be there.Has your brother done the probate yet,if so he will have sent the will off,and must know what was in it
.It only goes on to that site after its been granted.

Bear in mind that she may have changed her will since you last saw it.....

Why would you want to get a copy 'another way' when in your post of a few days ago you confirmed all four siblings each had a copy: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6343032/mothers-estate#latest

Ask one of your siblings. They can scan their copy and e-mail to you in a matter of minutes.

Yes I could do that but I feel abit daft I've lost it and didn't want yo bother them.

As Probate hasn't been started, and on 16 March you said it would be 'soon', it could be a good few weeks yet until the Will is available online. 

It's not 'silly' to ask for something so important to you and that you have misplaced.  If all 4 had a copy, just ask any 3 for a copy. You'll get it much quicker.

That said you don't need a copy. If you have seen it, know you get 25%,then you don't need to have a copy in your possession (just in case you think you do).

Assuming that one of the people with a copy has a smartphone then it is about 5 minutes work to get the copy and the phone, take a picture of each page and email / WhatsApp/ Messenger / whatever the pictures to you.

Is it really that much of a bother?
