How about having a go at some of the challenges to see if you can put extra money towards it

Although they did say after two years the debt will be wiped out, I still feel it is my duty to pay it off.
I think you've got the right idea. Additionally you never know when you may need their help again, so in such eventuality, having paid this one off will stand you in good stead.

Just a small point but do you need the £13.99 Netflix? You can get a £5.99 one which would probably do just as well (for all that it may not have HD or whatever...)
Probably not, it’s my family who use it more than I do.

If your family are good with regard to things like passing extra bits of food etc to you then you may want to consider this a fair trade off.

You seem to have things well organised with your budget and your plans to pay off the debt. Just remember that you need to budget for an in the region of 50% increase on your energy costs from April. that will be disproportionate too - it won't hit that much right away, but come the Autumn when you start having heating on etc it might be a bit of a sting.

  • My wage slips came today, and I was surprised that being off sick I got an extra £10 in my wage.

I got a job interview next week. If I get the job it’s an extra £2 an hour and my work pattern will be pretty much the same.

I managed to change the Netflix from the £13.99 to the £9.99 which I think is the best deal for everybody.

I’m starting to find the more I earn, the less I spend.
