Just saw this on me Ebay page - no email notification but was together with the current offers.

Only 2.5% Final Value Fees (excludes 30p order-level fees)

2.5% final value fees on up to 100 sneaker listings and no insertion fees - see T&Cs. Learn More

Not sure what it means.   By sneaker do they really mean selling sneakers or is there any hidden meaning?

I got that one and thought it was very American- I assumed it was just 'sneakers' but do we even use that term in the UK?

I did check the T and Cs and it says 'If you sell trainers in the Women’s or Men’s Trainers categories, a 2.5% final value fee will be charged when the item is sold plus a fixed amount of 30p per order. '.so yes, just trainers.

Very odd offer to private sellers who I don't think should be needing anywhere near 100 listings like that - it could almost be seen as encouraging businesses to be wrongly registered.

eBay are doing a lot of advertising at the moment about the fact they have trainers/sneakers for sale. So could be an effort to make sure the platform lives up to the marketing!

The offer that was just on this weekend gone, I noticed it said "80% off on selected categories*"
and I thought they were doing something sneaky and only having a couple of rarely used categories where you can get the 80% offer and the rest was full price so I read through the T's & C's and discovered it was every category, except men's and women's trainers.
sort of makes sense now they have come out with the "sneaker offer"....
