Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is cold and frosty.
DH and DS1 up and getting ready for work, I'm showered and dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM chicken and mushroom pie, mash, peas and gravy - the LO's from the nights' before dinner. Tonight not sure what we'll be having - but will find something.
I'm pleased again with how much I achieved yesterday - I will continue with pottering along but have 2 appointments today so will do what I can in between those.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Not too bad out today, fairly mild and just a bit damp. The washing is in, forgot to put it on last night, it can go on the pulley before I go to work.
Lovely to see JackieO posting again, hope you can join us here again.
Not much going on here, I'm still so tired but am sleeping well. Must get myself organised to start going swimming again in the mornings but it's so dark and cold!
The sky last night was quite eerie before it got dark, a strange purple and grey colour, I couldn't stop looking at it. Hoping it stays dry today as we are still very short staffed so having the children out at playtimes is easier than watching them in their classrooms.
Glad your mouth isn't too bad izzy.
Hugs to those in need.
Take care.XX11 -
Morning all
How lovely to see our JackieO back, it feels all is well in the world now
Off to work but the last day of the week for me, Thursday's I have three young male clients in so its always good fun and totally different to the rest of the week, I really enjoy Thursdays.
Chicken chow mein for dinner tonight, could not get fresh noodles anywhere so we have dried but Im sure they will be fine once cooked, the sauce will cover them anyway.
Ive has to extend my notice at work to the end of March as the matching process of me and new clients cant start untill ive faced panel which is 9th Feb, that way it will give them about 7 weeks to match me up with people, its fine with me as I need to be earning money so would rather have an income, and the end is still in sight !
DW to empty this morning and a wash to go on, I need to see if I can get a click and collect for tomorrow or Saturday too.
Nels I hope you are not in too much pain xxx
NRA thinking of you and your dear dad xx
Have good days all xxx

Morning all.Camelot - take things easy, you do so much!
Yesterday my lovely new mixer turned up a day early which was a great surprise, it fits very nicely in a corner of my tiny kitchen and looks splendid. 🎉 Now I need to restock with baking supplies and rearrange the contents of my cupboards, things need moved around. I'm still waiting for the kitchen guy to change some cupboards to drawers, perhaps it's time to find another company. I'd also like some pull down shelves in the top cupboards...dreaming time again.
Today I'll do a quick whizz to the local shop for flour etc and then decide which cake to make first though I'll probably plump for lemon drizzle.Apart from that my day is open for invitations. 😀
Thoughts to our poorlies and missing though we have one back in the fold. Welcome back JackieO.Happy Thursday to all.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. All is well with the world - Jackie is back and we have another fine day forecast (sadly a sunless one)
Yesterday was a much less stressful day than Tuesday thank goodness and I even had 2 pieces of news to cheer me up! Boasting Grandma alert!! First DD texted to tell me middle DGD had got a distinction in her tap exam and later even more exciting news about her! She had passed her audition for the English Youth Ballet's production of Coppelia! She performed with them 4 years ago and that was Coppelia too. A shame it isn't a different ballet but it will be enjoyed all the same!
Today is earmarked for the usual Thursday bathroom and kitchen clean to ease the burden of the Friday Tidy. The kitchen cupboard clean and sort out never happened yesterday but maybe today! The eating from the freezer continues and they are still looking as packed as they were, other than the section reserved for bagels, wraps etc, I must be eating too many and they will need to go on next week's delivery.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. POPPY I hope the treatment helps. NELS hope you are not in much pain. Thinking of NRA. Take care one and all and be safe. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Good morning all, thanks for starting us off nmlc
Great to see JackieO back posting 😊
Hope your ankle is improving Nels x
Shame that you’ve had to extend your notice period Ruby – bet your current employers can’t believe their luck!
Enjoy the baking Gers 😊
Great news about middle DGD TA – what a little star she is!
Had a chat with my line manager yesterday and have come to the conclusion that if I want something more/different I will need to move on completely. I had a look online last night on a couple of sites. One possibility to apply for, so will do a bit of research today. Tried to start a knitting project last night and had to pull it back 4 times, so will try again tonight.
Had a change of prescription for my reading glasses, so two pairs on order. Distance glasses for driving have improved(!) so no change their and no need to wear them during daylight hours.
Dinner tonight will be bolognaise.
Hugs to all the poorlies and those going through tough times. Thinking of poppy and NRA most especially.

Morning
Chilly and quite icy again but forecast sun again later.
Yesterday was a bit of a write off…..pity party day but I did manage to make a lovely onion gravy to go with the leftover sausage and mash so all wasn't lost.
Foot is like a barrage balloon today which is annoying. At this rate I’m seriously going to have to drop out of Dancing on Ice
Chances are I’ll be elevating it and stuffing paracetamol down my neck again and getting on with it.
So good to see JackieO back on the forum I love all her tales of the family and bygone times. I think some of us are really going to have tighten those purse strings this year so she will be a great source of wisdom.
Asda delivery this morning. Mostly bread, salad and veg stuff and some milk so I can knock up some sultana scones and Yorkshire puds at the weekend. Somehow some Foxes choccy biscuits snook in too and of course some liquid grapes. Lets hope they are not out of stock otherwise I’ll be homebrewing spinach wine.
Food tonight is a pick from the delivery. Quite fancy a fish finger butty and some chips. Classy eh
Have a great day all and look after yourselves

Good morning, it seems to be a fine start here.I was awake for a while in the middle of the night, fell asleep again then suddenly woke at 7.30, that's late for me.TA, what wonderful news about dgd, you must be so proud!Nels, sorry about your ankle, as if you didn't have enough to deal with.Coxy, good luck in finding another job.Ruby and NMLC and Camelot, hope you have good days at work.Welcome back Jackie O, it's been a while!Happy Mixing Gers, nice to have new things isn't it.I too am making a cake today, Dgd's birthday cake. She wants a chocolate cake, so that will be done, and I'll ice it tomorro. She's having a little party on Saturday.I suggested to Dd that I make some iced little cakes, cup cakes as they call them now, for the young children, they'll be easier for them to manage and less messy. I can ice them in different colours and use sugar flowers, and little sweets to decorate.Thinking of Poppy and our other poorly people today, and those with relatives who are ill.Take care folks.12

Morning, hugs if you need one. An extra special one for Jackie O, great to see you back, you have been sorely missed.
Frosty start, but the sun is up, we are n a semi jolly today, into town for a couple of things then a visit to my neighbour in her new abode. Stop on the way home at the garden centre for a snack lunch. Apart from that, no other plans.
Rubbish night, it was after 4am last time I looked at the clock, maybe I am turning into Mrs Thatcher, she apparently slept for just 4 hours a night!!!
Quiche for supper tonight, will do it with jacket spuds. Enough of the rice pudding left for tonights dessert.
