Shipping books to Switzerland

Tried to buy a book for a relative who's spending winter in Switzerland. Amazon wanted £9.50 for the book and £14.99 for global shipping.

Logged on to amazon.de and bought the same item for 9.57€ with no shipping :-) I have a C/C which charges no fees for paying in a foreign currency, happy days.

Thanks for this.  I did not know you could do this.  BTW do you have to know German?

Ein sehr kleine bisschen... but Google Translate is very much better.

Be aware you do have to have the second part of my note, a card that charges no transaction fee for foreign currency transactions. I don't think the one I use is offered to new customers.
