Morning, hugs if you need one.

Its a very grey morning here, the washer is on, bed linen done yesterday, now waiting for my ironing lady to call and collect it. Stuff thats in the washer will go in the dryer, except my best trousers which I will hang up and a shirt of DB, if I put it on a hanger it only needs a swift iron.

No idea whats for supper, we are going into Leicester this morning to order the curtains for the sitting room from Dunelm, they will have to be made, the sitting room window is so big.I was going to have them floor length, but changed my mind, they will be just below the cill, blackout linings.

I will have a rummage round whilst we are there, may well leave DB in the cafe with a cup of coffee whilst I go round.

Morning everyone another damp day here dog has been walked I don’t know if I will be up to much today this is my fourth day off and it has done me the world off good I feel properly rested .I have a menu planner stuck on my fridge I might go through my freezer and decide what I’m making starting next week this week it’s just picking and using up but I’m definitely off the naughty stuff I’m letting the hubby finish that off . I had a good walk yesterday afternoon it was very foggy and damp but I needed some exercise as my feet were starting to take on the shape of my slippers I met a couple of people who I know and both had been really ill with Covid yet they had been double jabbed and there booster still need to be careful. Morning all, late again !! It's the first non raining day since I last posted before xmas and the sun is out, bonus. 
We've had a lovely xmas time, quite the opposite of last year thankfully, sadly it was gone in a flash. However the good news is that we're all together again for New Years Eve, when we're going to order an Indian takeaway then the DGC will stay overnight again. Housework-wise the house looks like a bomb has gone off 💣 😂 so today I'm pottering about trying to put things in their rightful place, the table will stay extended till after New Year though. The fridge needs sorting too as yesterday I found some Millionaires cheesecake in there but it had been squashed as flat as a pancake ! Everything has been covered/wrapped in foil so goodness knows what else is in there 😲 I know there's a few nibbles left which we will eat up today. When all the above has been accomplished it's on with my new Oodie and feet up with some recorded TV, didn't have the time to watch much over the xmas. 
Right better get on.

Afternoon everyone
Had a nice couple of hours with eldest DD down at my brother's this morning - she was saying her goodbyes as she's going back to Germany tomorrow. I did some lego building with little great nephew - he had it all out ready for me - I got him a big box for Christmas plus he got lots of smaller sets. I think DD is now his favourite person as she got him a formula one jacket from work for Christmas - apparently he hasn't worn anything else since he put it on on Christmas Day.
She's away into town to say goodbyes to friends and I'm going to have a walk along to Asda for some photo frames - she got me some Banksy postcards at the exhibition she went to in Barcelona and I want to frame them.
I'm making lasagne for tea as it's her favourite. Tomorrow we'll go down to mam and dad's so she can say goodbye and then she'll leave after lunchtime.
Youngest DD is working later so she'll bring little one up for a couple of hours then tomorrow I'll have her most of the day.

Hi all, I've been missing in action for quite a while. Work was manic in the run up to Christmas and was then away visiting family for the last few days, Sun came out today after a damp and dreary start. Back home today but no rest for the wicked as am back at work tomorrow. Dinner tonight was a freezer dive job as I still need to go shopping now I'm home. No leftovers here sadly so need to get things in. Hope everyone had a joyous and peaceful Christmas. D
