Hi all, the process is finally moving on and I will have a telephone dispute resolution hearing in August - I’ll be glad to see the back of this case and normal life can resume. Does anyone have any advice for the hearing? I’m hoping to submit some evidence of signage shortly, but wanting to know how to prepare for this, I have no idea what to expect and there’s not been any info from the council as to how the call will run.

    appreciate any advice!

A dispute resolution hearing isn't your final hearing. Why not just search the forum and see what this 30 minute waste of time involves?  DR Hearings (glorified mediation by a rookie Judge to try to make you give up) are discussed on several threads.

You don't seem prepared. There is a bundle to prepare and your Court Orders tell you by when.

There is a whole section in the NEWBIES thread about 'KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' and examples of WS and evidence bundles are in recent threads by @ricky_balboa and @wobs2k

Hi all, great news! The case has been dropped. Last week I submitted pictures of their un-illuminated parking signs and was preparing for the dispute resolution hearing in Augus- today I got this notification! Thanks for everyone’s help and advice, appreciated it so much. Keep up the good work 🕺

    Well done. 👏

DCB Legal are discontinuing cases like they are going out of fashion. Seems like they don't want a judge involved at all.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Great news!

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

Please do stick around and add your bit because we (all drivers) need you to use your experience and tell the Govt that it was the extortionate level and added fake costs that made you adamant not to be ripped off, and to see the PPC in court.

A punitive charge is not an effective deterrent if it is too high and feels unfair, especially when +£70 is added as a form of false 'Debt recovery' enrichment and extortion.

Check this forum weekly or so, as I'm sure you will want to contribute your evidence to the final DLUHC Public Consultation (this Summer, date TBA).

It's specifically about the regulated level of parking charges (starting at £50). The PPCs will be bleating for £120/£130.

Drivers need to get together to put in genuine responses and evidence to make sure the DLUHC confirm that the banning of the false 'debt recovery' fees was 100% correct and must be re-stated to be the blatant 'extortion' that the DLUHC at first said the added £70 is.

It also directly funds and fuels court claims and the whole roboclaim culture depends on the £70 multiples. It must end.  If if were not for the added £70 this case would never have been picked up by the litigation chasers.
