My energy supplier is British Gas and I am on a duel fuel fixed tariff until end February. I assume that when this ends BG will just flip me onto their standard tariff.
They have emailed me with an offer to switch to their cheapest fixed tariff, called Exclusive Fix May 2023 (I have until 20 Dec to decide). They have only quoted for gas (rather oddly?), which is:

Standing charge:
26.123p/day
Unit rate:
5.425p/kWh It lasts for 15 months. Is this my best option or should I simply wait and let the standard tariff kick in? Like so many I am struggling on a low income and am trying to keep my energy use to an absolute minimum. even on my current tariff. Many thanks
