I have two energy suppliers to my flat. Can e-On bill me for a meter that is managed by SSE?

Not a great comparison but here is E.ON Next's rate card from another recent thread (OP says they're with E.ON so the rates may be different).

So is it a legal requirement that for any given property there can only be one electricity supplier? You can choose separate suppliers to get the best gas and electricity tariffs, so it would be a shame if you can't do the same with electricity suppliers to get the best EV and 'house' tariffs.0

The first of these has been approved, but not yet implemented, the second was recently dropped but I wouldn't be surprised to see it come back again at some future point. For now though, the settlement and balancing system expects to see one supplier per boundary point.

Thanks for the replies.
With e-on I am on the "Energy plan": its 19.3p per kWh and 22.6p standing charge.
With SSE I am on the "Standard heatwise meter": its 17.9p per kWh at night and 21.8p per kWh at afternoons.
I thought I was getting good rates with SSE, but some of you commented that this is expensive?
Anyways, yes, my flat has 2 energy meters and that is the way all flats in my building are set up. Each flat has two meters, one for the main electric and one for the water heater. Thats the way it has been set up.
Hope the above details gave some additional information0 -

I thought I was getting good rates with SSE, but some of you commented that this is expensive? You'll see from that page that it's only meant to be offered in combination with one of SSE's other standard rates, and that it's due to be discontinued.E.ON's Energy Plan looks to be a reasonable rate. You can see the tariff card here:The same card shows E.ON's Economy 7 rates. Assuming you're in the East Midlands, the E7 night-time rate is just under 12p/kWh; a lot less than the night rate on your SSE tariff. This is why I think your SSE tariff isn't great. There is some explanation of how Heatwise works here:
