Will party wall surveyor contact local authority for neighbour's building certificate?

The neighbour will do the extension. Is it possible that party wall surveyor will ask local authority about our  house's  building  completion certificate when they check the risk of extension. The current house will buy has no building certificate and plan permission for extension, We are advised by solicitor to buy  indemnity insurance but worried it can be invalid when neighbour do extension.Thanks.
