Lloyds bank £5 cashback

"Simply make five online card purchases of at least £10, between 8th November 2021 and 10th December 2021, then we’ll credit £5 to your current account before the end of January 2022."

Does it need to be online? and not in store?

If it says 'online', you should assume that's what it means.
Was your email actually from Lloyds? Or Halifax/BoS?

It looks like all 3 of the major LBG brands (Lloyds/Halifax/BOS) have the same offer. I don't think there is any difference between them, though I've not received any (I bank with both Lloyds and Halifax)

Whilst BoS and Hfax has been mentioned elsewhere on here, Lloyds hadn't.

My offer was from Lloyds although I have accounts with the other 2 banks.

I got an email about this, I think I'll top up my amazon account with 5 x £10 and hopefully that triggers it.

Interesting. Will this just show as a standard payment to Amazon on your Lloyds bank account?

I've done a top up on Amazon recently on my credit card and it shows up like any other amazon transaction not sure if they can tell what has actually been bought. Similarly Amex sometimes have offers on for purchasing £x at amazon to get Cashback, and I've always bought gift cards from amazon and it's triggered it. The only issue is we won't know for sure until January 2022 whether it has really worked! But, I do actually need some stuff from amazon anyway so if it doesn't work I won't be losing out as such. My initial plan was to deposit 5 x £10 into a betting account and then withdraw but it specifically excludes gambling transactions.

Is this deal on all Lloyds debit cards?

I've not had an email.  I have a club Lloyds a/c

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.56% of current retirement "pot" (as at end January 2025)

I had a theory that it was to promote DC use on accounts where we weren't currently using the cards. For me that would be Lloyds Club and BoS Vantage (both sit with £5K balances). However, I've only had a BoS email so far, so I've discounted that. Haven't had a Halifax email as I use those cards monthly for the £5 Reward generating payments.
