Reply from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities re - fake add-on charges.

My MP, the Right Hon John Penrose forwarded my concern about fake add on charges to Mr Gove at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), following Mr Jenrick's failure to reply to me on a previous occasion.
My MP chased up my query several weeks later with Mr Gove because he had not received a reply.
Yesterday he forwarded a letter to me sent to him from Mr Gove's deputy, Neil O'Brien MP, parliamentary undersecretary to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, the Union and Constitution.
Below is the main body of Mr Obrien's response. Sadly it does not specifically address the fundamental issue that the add on charges are fake, although he does say "I will carefully consider all consultation responses before making a final decision".
It is important therefore that everyone who gets a PCN and/or court claim with fake add-on charges complains to their MP and asks that their complaint be forwarded to the DLUHC.

Please feel free to add to add your own responses (if any) from this government department and comments thereupon.

This is a template response...the cabinet is full of them!
I posted one on the forum a couple of weeks ago, it was exactly the same. Another one arrived a couple of days ago.
One was sent to my MP and the other was sent to my son's MP. Both came from Neil O'Brien.
The worrying thing is that the letter is addressed to the MP, giving the impression all is well and unfair parking charges will be a thing of the past. Nothing could be further from the truth and MP's need to know this. They are the key to ensuring the DLUHC does understand.4 -
Well done Fruity
Does your MP actualty understand the rubbish and sleaze that comes out of the Boris government
THE REPLY: .....
Why are they entrusting the behaviour of debt collectors to the BPA/IPC.
It is the FCA they must be registered with who punish rogue traders
This seems that responsibilty of rogue debt collectors who are aleady members off the BPA, will make the BPA liable and subjec to court claims ?
Not certain where he thinks it will reduce the amount of parking tickets, the cowboys will continue seeking out mugs
The only saving grace is the single appeals service which will scupper the rogue traders we see on here every day

Thanks for the comments.
I'll reply to my MP with my concerns about the incestuous relationship between a debt collector being a member of a parking trade association as opposed to a member of the FCA, and about the response from Mr O'Brien being a word for word template copy.I married my cousin.
