Leave it over the week-end for others to comment and then file any time before the deadline.4

QUESTIONS:
1) Do I wait to file my defence until nearer the November deadline or submit it when it's ready?
2) Does the fact that I am aware that UKPC operate in the car park, from previous PCN's being issued, affect any of the further template paragraphs created by you in relation to poor signage and penalties hidden in small print etc? The signs in this car park fall way below the BEAVIS standard.
and thanks yet again for your help.
1) Send it when you are ready, but there is no rush. Certainly wait for comments on what you are proposing to send.
2) Nothing beyond paragraph 3 in the template Defence needs changing.4 -
Thanks both. I will wait until Monday.1

Morning @Coupon-mad, @KeithP, @Le_Kirk, @D_P_Dance,
I submitted my defence on Monday just gone and have received an email direct from DCB Legal yesterday. They acknowledge that I have filed a defence and are asking that I provide them with the evidence to show that I had paid for parking on the date of the contravention.
Do I reply to this email with the evidence they are asking for? Might this put an end to any court proceedings? or am I just playing in to their hands if I do this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Read the guidance in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements in the second post
More importantly , read the post containing the defence template by coupon mad , first post , reading the whole post
Now ask yourself this question
Why am I not reading and following the 12 numbered steps in the defence template post by coupon mad ? Especially number 7 , seeing as you did 6 a few days ago
Do any of those 12 numbered steps apply to the repetitive groundhog Day question I have just asked in the reply above ? If yes , why did I not read the guidance first ?
Then slap your head. 😜😜😜2 -
Do I reply to this email with the evidence they are asking for?
Of course.
Might this put an end to any court proceedings?
It might.
Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
No you do not reply , the evidence stage is in several months time
You won't find UKPC LTD or dcb legal sharing their evidence with you until the court deadline to do so
If they want evidence , ask them for evidence too , like a copy of the landowner contract , as a fair exchange of evidence. Exchanging evidence is a 2 way street , it is for them to prove that they have a valid claim , not for you to prove otherwise1 -
I say you do reply. It's a reasonable request and looks bad if they show this to the Judge later and that you failed to respond to narrow the issues,PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks everyone for your advice,
I replied to their email and attached the RingGo VAT receipt. On balance I felt this was reasonable and I agree that I don't want to look like i've been uncooperative at any stage of this process.2 -
@Coupon-mad @KeithP @Le_Kirk @D_P_Dance @Redx
Hi all,
Some great news. I have today received a letter from DCBLegal confirming that their client (UKPC) has instructed them to discontinue court proceedings against me. They have also attached the form N279 notice that they have filed with the court.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your time, patience and advice in this matter. Without you and what you do on these forums I wouldn't have had a clue what to do.
I wouldn't have known how to plough through all the different stages from LBC to Court Claim and all that it entails. Your advice and forum posts are invaluable.
As previously stated I have other unpaid PCN's from the same parking firm at the same car park for the sae reason so no doubt i'll be hearing from them again. But now with this letter hopefully I will be able to pre-empt any court proceedings at LBC stage as I can refer them back to this case.
Thanks,
