Applying for credit when receiving income via Income Protection Plan paying out due to illness

Hello there, Would anyone have any experience or advice on how to fill in Credit Card application forms or Loan forms when you are no longer employed but your Income Protection Plan( initially a benefit from your old employer),  is paying out due to illness? I am looking to consolidate credit card debt into 0% transfer balance credit card deal. But not sure how to fill in forms, and the eligibility calculator has so far come out with 0% chance.

You'd put unemployed/retired as appropriate and your income from all sources, including the insurance.

Are you receiving the IP via your employer? If so then you are still employed & your income is what you receive. Unless you've been told that the payments will stop, then you can answer No to whether you are aware of any upcoming change to your income.

If your old employer has gone bankrupt and are paid the money directly by the insurance company, then I have no idea what to suggest other than to be consistent in how you apply.
