Tied into a 3 month service subscription without agreeing to it. Is this legal?

Hi,
I recently signed up to a marketing platform, after a few weeks of using the platform I decided to cancel my subscription as the service wasn't very good.
I was then informed that I had entered into a 3 month minimum contract, this isn't something I had wilfully done (I hadn't agreed to and T&C's or signed a contract). I simply selected the appropriate plan which had a monthly cost and clicked on my preferred payment method and made payment. My company is UK based and the service provider is in Canada.
I'm sure if I read through there website T&C's it'll state I have to pay for a 3 month subscription, I'm trying to decipher theses T&C's this morning.
Is this legal?
Thanks,
Em

If it's in the T&Cs yes, I don't see why not.
It's not a consumer rights issue as you're a business, and it's probably not a UK law issue if the provider is in Canada.1 -
By signing up to the platform you have agreed to their T&Cs. If you signed up without reading those T&Cs you are the only person at fault. Whilst annoying, is it worth the battle to try to recover what I am guessing is a comparatively small amount?

Company then its a Business to Business transaction .Not covered as such by Consumer Laws .Bought from Canada , then Canadian laws apply and the terms and conditions you signed up to .0

Indeed but equally will it be worthwhile for a Canadian company pursuing a small debt in the UK?TELLIT01 said:By signing up to the platform you have agreed to their T&Cs. It does seem like you're all correct, so annoying! Whether or not they'll chase the amount is another question I guess.

T&C's do state we have to complete the minimum service subscription. But at no point do you have to acknowledge this when making payment.I think we'll take it on the chin, certainly leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.0

Just take is as a reminder to check the T&Cs before signing up for anything. All the rest of us do all the time, don't we!
