Morning all, blew a hoodie last night her and rained very hard. Glorious sunny day but windy.
planning on some sewing and doing another slow cooker batch cook to make meals for another day
managed a bike ride yesterday but am very nervous getting on and off, I think I’m scared of falling off since hip replacement, I actually couldn’t get going at one point so I gave myself and good talking to, need to keep practicing to get over myself 😉
Have a good, safe day allCarolbee12 -
Morning all, well the sun is shining today after yesterday's deluge, but it is a bit parky and we had the fire on first thing to take the chill off.Today I'm going to get my flu jab so I'll have to break my day as it's at 1.30 pm. and I hope I don't have to queue outside, although today is the only dry day forecast for this week. I'll just potter about this morning as I don't want to get stuck into anything and then have to leave it half done.taff have a good time but don't forget to pack your wellies and a sou'wester ! Hope the shed gets emptied.csarina Eureka !! Glad the man found your leak at last. My DD bought me a slanket, but it's so big (one size) that Mr Fix It wears it, I looked like Dopey the dwarf 🤣Sunfl0wer glad you had a lovely time with your DDCamelot I should be putting my summer stuff away too, but I live in hope of an Indian summer.Wicked Lady enjoy your lunchScarlett I know how fiddly making Barbie stuff can be, well done to you and a happy DGD to boot. I have a very shaky left hand and although I sew right handed I sometimes can't keep the material still long enough to get a stitch in !Hope everyone can have a good day and stay dry.Take care all.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

Morning all
Late one from me as I have been on the phone with the big manager from work I did apologise to him for not replying sooner but explained about the email going into junk, he was fine about it and we had a really good chat, the upshot is that I start back Monday and I shall be helping out on reception and in the shop, the first few weeks I am mainly going to be catching up on my training and emails etc and also I am doing a phased return I aim to do four hours the first day but he said if I am too tired at any point then I am just to go, they really seem to be bending over backwards to help me which is so appreciated. I am so relieved to not be going back to the cafe as its just too physically demanding and tbh my direct manager has been awful while I have been ill I have not heard from her for over a year so I really dont want to work with her anymore !
Going to have a tidy through and then get the dogs out I will then write a shopping list for tomorrow, I am taking mum shopping and then she wants to go to the fish stall on the sea front.
If I get time later I am going to sort my wardrobes and pack away the summer things and get rid of things I dont wear, I keep holding onto them thinking I will wear then but I wont and they need to go.
Camelot glad the boobie lorry went well xx
Have good days all xxx13 -
Ruby - it's so good to hear that your work situation is improving, it'll be a huge relief.Nan - hope that your flu jab was swift and painless.Carolbee - you sound very adventurous. My new hip made me very wary of lots of things and I wouldn't contemplate a bicycle. My older friends in Newcastle have both bought tricycles from a company in York and use them every day though not on the main roads.I've emptied the dishwasher, chucked some things into the washing machine and joined up the autumn and summer sections of the new duvet. They come with a little bag of things which look like cufflinks, they are inserted into the matching holes on both duvets. It was rather fiddly but not difficult though I wonder if tying them up with ribbon or string would work, it's something that won't worry me again until next year!Vegetables are roasted, I added in some cloves of garlic to help boost my system - not sure if that actually works but I like garlic.

Wet day here yesterday but we managed to dodge the showers. Went to lunch and bible study.
Today we went to friendship and lunch club. Everyone was saying how cold it was today.
Really tired after 4 hours of running around doing teas and coffee then serving dinner and puddings.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
