Hi.
Does anyone know the best contact to get wrong information in my file corrected from Halifax.
They still show an open account on my file, which was joint with ex wife. 
Trying to get her removed from my file. 
Having disputed the account and financial link with TransUnion they are saying Halifax still have this as open. 
Yet in previous contact with Halifax they have advised it is closed. 
So trying to contact Halifax and not sure best contact to usem

When was it closed?

It would have been approx 2012. She was removed the account and the account subsequently closed.

Probably the best way would be to make a complaint then.

I would say to complain to Halifax and also try to get a notice of correction put on your credit file, if you can, although I am not to sure because it depends on the bank, see if you can get a letter confirming the closure or the closing statement. Contact Experian, Equifax and TransUnion and ask for a notice of correction to be put on your profile, you will also be able to prove it.

This is poor advice.

NOC's are largely ignored and usually do more harm than good.
