UC, Council Tax, Left Job?

hi im on uc and i was getting Council Tax Award but i started a temp job month ago and now i left due to health reasons my payments for Council Tax went up abit, will it go back to my normal payment now im not working again? thanks in advance

    I would expect that as your earnings and UC fluctuate the amount of CTR you get will fluctuate also.

    The amount of Council tax reduction you're entitled to will depend on your circumstances. Have you contacted your Local Authority to report the changes that you're no longer working? If you haven't then you need to do that.

    A lot of local authorities now just take information supplied to them by UC to establish earnings etc.

    I wouldn’t take this as gospel as the local authority I work for do not I would report to your local authority to be sure

    It was not intended as ‘gospel’, it was a remark that a lot of local authorities do this which clearly means that many do not.

    However OP presumably knows whether the previous change to CTR was as a result of her reporting a change or whether it happened automatically in response to the change in UC.
