Which EU country has the least red tape for holiday makers?
Are they all the same requirements or do they vary. I have read about Spain, it seems that you have to book your holiday before they approve your status, one action could not be carried out until 48 hours before flying. That seems risky to me.
What are your views?
Thanks,
Fortyfoot

Rules/ red tape will vary dependant on your vaccination status. What is your vaccination status.

If you are double vaccinated then entry to several main stream EU holiday destinations is fairly easy. These require no entry PCR/LF test to enter. At most just completing an arrival form in advance.

Gibraltar
Malta
Germany
Madeira & Porto Santo
The TUI site actually has a fairly good and comprehensive guide to what is currently required to travel to each country that they are selling holiday to at the moment. They update the site regularly.

My biggest worry is what is plan B, if you test positive before your return flight!!
You can't travel home.
Where will they put you? Quarantine in a "facility".
Who pays? Do insurers cover this?
Until test free RETURN travel is allowed (for the double jabbed) then it's too risky still IMO.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.50% of current retirement "pot" (as at end August 2024)2 -
