Rockstar pass for Max Payne 3 for pc.

Not being much of a gamer I do like the Max Payne series and would like to have a go at Max payne 3, its £17 to buy on steam, but I see something called a Rockstar pass on Ebay tha tis a lot cheaper, wonder if this is legit enough as I don,t want my Steam account to be banned or anything, also wondering is this i for extra content for the game and I need the base game?

Well considering it says "REQUIRES MAIN GAME TO PLAY" on the listing, that sort of implies its a DLC.

Thanks a lot for that, so even if I was to find an used main game at a good price on ebay, there is a good possibility that the game specific code has been used and it would be no good to me.

You can easily tell I am NOT a gamer...:)
